Speaking on Channel 10 last night, Danny Green said his next bout was likely to be in Melbourne in early December and that an opponent had yet to be decided.

If they were to meet, why would Green, much less Pitt, want an 87kg weight limit?

Pitt apparently can make 87 Im just throwing it out there as Pitt has challenged him and called him a p***y. As for the 87kg weight limit Danny isn't a cruiserweight he won't fight Pitt at 90.7kg.

whats this about Green not being a Cruiserweight unless the post have been moved he's a cruiserweight he's not the biggest cruiseweight in the world but a cruiserweight all the same you'll see if you look at some boxing ranking's just check the bit about what weight you have to be to participate in that particular weight class you now how if you weigh between 79.38kg and 90.71 your are in boxing a cruiserweight no ifs or buts.

He's a cruiserweight but a small cruiserweight he won't allow his opponent to weigh in up to the cruiserweight limit. Maybe I should have said he's not a genuine cruiserweight. :TU:

Danny Green is probably the most successful cruiserweight Australia has ever produced.

If you differ to that view ensure you offer the name of an Australian cruiserweight who has achieved more than Green has to support your opinion.

Yes but it's hardly a glamour division and he has only allowed 2 of his opponents to weigh in at the full Cruiserweight limit of 90.7kg and been KTFO both times.

isn't there already a green vs pitt topic with enough regurgitated rubbish in it?

some people must be just copying and pasting the same thing every topic, lol.

it was boring then and it isn't anymore interesting this time either.

Good call that. Any talk of Pitt being Green's opponent would be best directed into that thread.

I can't see any good reason why Green will put on weight for this fight if he ultimately intends to come down in weight.

I'm guessing he will want to fight someone at a catch weight of around 185 pounds. Perhaps even a tad less. Which means he is likely to fight a light heavyweight coming up. Like he did with the last guy.

The old Dannyweight saga.

TBF, I have always thought that there is quite a jump between the LHWs at 79kg and the cruisers at 90KG

11kgs is a lot of difference in size. But there you go, and last thing we need to more world champions!

They should merge some of the lighter weight divisions where there is only 3 lbs difference in the Bantam, featherweight divisions and have a Cruiserweight 175 -187lb and a Super Cruiszerweight 187-200lb division IMO.

Yeah we all know what happens to Danny Greeny when he allows his opponents to fight a fair fight at cruiserweight.

Danny Green could fight Shane Quinn at CW limit & Green would still get KTFO :OhYes:

He beat Bolonti easily enough. How was Bolonti not allowed to fight fair?

Bolonti in a lightheavyweight matey. Greeny doesn't fight in that division because he is too big for it. Funny how Danny Greeny continually fights at cruiser but never actually fights a cruiser. He did twice and we all know what happened to him.

Bolonti fought 3 weeks prior to the Green fight, would have barely prepared for the fight & was most likely half way through his vacation, professional fighters don't back up that quick if they seriously want the win

Bolonti's previous fight lasted less than 2 rounds and there was only 3 weeks in total between the 2 fights. Bolonti also obviously knew he was to fight Green inside those 3 weeks. So he hardly had much time to be out of shape and "half way through a vacation."

The reason Bolonti lost is he was completely outclassed.

Green is an undersized cruiserweight who fought an overside light heavyweight the same size as him. There was less than a pound difference in their weights. Here's a memory refresher for you:

The only thing unfair was Green was far too good for him.

Like it would take much to outclass a goat farmer like Bolonti, hasn't even beaten anyone in the top 100. it was hilarious seeing Green back up & being tentative to engage someone as bad as Bolonti

Green hadn't fought for nearly 3 years and won all 10 rounds on every scorecard. Boloni fought on his own merits but was completely outclassed. The hilarious part is reading people here trying to make excuses the fight wasn't fair

Bolonti being built up by Green fans  . Look it wasn't a bad opponent after 3 years off but c,mon I could only sit through 3 rounds of that crapfest and yes Green dragged him up from LHW(174 TO 186) like he did with the great Danny Santiago(173-186). Why people are defending this I have no idea. Look there's nothing wrong with liking a boxer but you can't dispute the facts.
