Doesn't have much luck getting the big names in the ring does he. Oh well at least he can be undefeated a bit longer now.

Very disappointing, and for once I actually feel sorry for Fury.

Assuming Wilder wins this weekend, I definitely want to see Fury/Wilder in late Dec. or early Jan.
Sooner, if Wilder has a short night.

Could be psycho games from Dr.Klitchko. He knows that Fury is psycologically unstable, so could have decided to use that.
He was also injured before the Pulev fight.

It's not off, it's postponed.

The fight will take place, it will just happen at a different date, like one month later

It's possible.
Or the injury could be real. Klitschko has been fighting a long time, and pushes himself to the limit in his training camps.

I think the injury is real.
Fury just isn't a threat worth postponing.

Unfortunately as you get older you get more injury prone, and injuries take longer to heal. Can a calf tendon injury heal in a month? I don't know. Maybe if it's taped up for the fight. Might limit mobility and get reinjured though. I'd guess more like two months, maybe three. Depends how bad it is.

wtf is everyone panicking about? this fight isn't off. it's going to get rescheduled one month forward, so instead of watching it in October, you will see it in November. Relax people.

More opportunity for Fury to dress up in costumes and do his schtick. That banter he's using on Wlad, by the way, is the same that the Irish Travelers use on each other when they have their bare knuckle fights. I'll say this for them, they seem to have fun.

It's been apparent from day 1 that this Wladimir fellow isn't the real deal, he'll find a way to go into retirement instead of getting a disgraceful boot from the sport at the hands of Tyson Fury. If it's not retirement then Wlad will find a way to fight on disgracefully facing weaker opposition for a while. Fury too isn't really the worlds bravest or most honorable fighter, I remember the Ustinov episode where Fury decided to play it safe so that he could become the Chumpion instead of fighting a dangerous opponent.
Yeah, the week his wife had a miscarriage - he's a coward all right.

His wife didn't have a miscarriage that week. Fury backed out on the morning of the fight with Ustinov because he was intimidated by a man his own size at the weigh-in, and decided fighting him wasn't worth the risk.

I speak to Fury's father in law pretty regularly - his wife did lose a child around that week and his uncle was in hospital - he later died without coming round - Fury's head was all over the place and he thought he'd been set up and he pulled out. Maybe he did bottle it - there were things going on that would have tested any of us though.

It is a shame, I don't think Fury will beat Wlad who has the edge in everything except age but there's no denying that people do pull out of bouts with Fury. I hope he uses the extra time to get into very good condition, whether he wins or loses he is on display to the world so no jiggling titties or muffin tops, please.

Well knowing Peter and the family as I do, I can say the postponement (or cancellation if it comes to that) won't phase Tyson much, as the training camp they do never really changes--- and by that I mean, it wasn't as though Tyson was busting his ass off any more than he has the passed few years. He didn't forcibly take it up a notch. His fitness, conditioning, etc. is pretty much consistent. He could fight in October, November, December, January, etc. and still be ready because he's always in the same shape.
I will say, though, I never would have expected to see Klitschko pull out. And, I for one, have lost respect for him over the matter. Why? If Marciano could fight with his nose hanging off, and other past champions fought with more severe injuries going into fights and winning... then Klitschko doesnt deserve high praise or comparison to all-time greats... and that's saying alot from me, cus I have defended Klitschko alot in the passed few years.
If I were Team Fury, I'd say forget Klitschko and go after Deontay Wilder and the WBC belt. I'd have a defense of my European WBO belt (or British belt) and then go after Wilder and win the title. And once that was accomplished, then you'd have more bargaining power. You'd have something Klitschko wants desperately: undisputed championship. Then Klitschko would come in, no matter what.

Wilder would NEVER fight Fury unless forced to. Deontay chooses the weakest possible opponents - his management obviously has little faith in his ability.

That may be so, however, I think the idea with Wilder and his camp is to make the most money possible. Who out there other than Klitschko can generate alot of revenue but Tyson Fury? Wilder does have alot of appeal outside the States, and I think an overseas confrontation would be big business for all involved. Of course, that wouldn't ever happen because Wilder's promotional team wants fights in Vegas and HBO, etc. but I don't necessarily see a problem for Fury doing a fight in America again.
Oh well. This is the heavyweights after all, never have expectations on anything. All you will be is disappointed.

Povetkin for example, and Povetkin his matches are actually fun to watch, many of them end in KO.
