Yoan Pablo Hernandez retires

Due to persistent injuries. He had some entertaining bouts and was a good fighter, though I think perhaps somewhat overrated. I would've liked to see how he fared against the likes of Huck, Lebedev, Hernandez, Drozd, Makabu, and Kudryashov.

I agree that he was overrated. He didn't have the toughness physically to stay on top.

I'm gutted about this.
I thought he was a talented guy and I ranked him #1 at cruiserweight.
Good luck to him with him injurys, hopefully they get sorted and he comes back in shape.

Its a pity. He could have been a big name if boxing was about quality and not about the hype. Lets hope the next one manages to unify the division.

Ross was really an unlucky fighter at the top... he floored USS before he got his eyelid tore too

and none of the knuckle surface of USS's glove came close to landing on that shot.
it was entirely the thumb part, but the ref called that a clean punch and then when
they ruled he couldn't continue at the beginning of the next round it was ruled a tko
instead of going to the cards for a decision (forget what round) or draw or NC.

kind of ironic that his alias was Iron Man and he would retire on injuries

Yeh but everyone floors USS. He has a great mix of a shaky chin, but crazy recuperative powers.

Adamek was the king of recuperative power!
