Been impressed with Langford so far like how he picks his punches and seems to have found his power now hes fighting guys coming to win. Continues his progression on Saturday at the Wolverhampton civic Hall against Argentinian Middleweight champion Christian Fabian Rios. Don't know a lot about the opponent but seems quite tough never been stopped.

Ryan Aston takes on Nathan Graham in an eliminator for the English light middleweight title on the undercard which should be a decewnt scrap.

There was talk of Josh Leather v Andrew Colquhoun over 8 but I'm not sure if thats still on, does anyone know? Hope it is.

Paul Butler gets a work out too.

Busy time for the West Midlands October, got this Saturday the Matchroom show in Brum 17th as well as shows in Walsall Saturday and the Saturday after.

In hindsight I bet they wish they had the Skeete fight and Corcoran fight on this card.

I wasn't impressed with Langford originally but he's improving each fight. A domestic title challenge can't be to far away.

To be fair ticket wise Skeete and Corcoran would have made no sense in Wolverhampton and not London (with a big arena to fill) but I get where you are coming from tv wise it would have.

I'm sure some people will use this card as a chance to knock allegedly but for I'm glad they show these smaller (usually co-promoted cards) like the Harrow one 30th Oct.

I'm going to it, looking forward to it.

Might turn out to be a decent fight,Langford does seem to be improving each fight and developing a bit of power,Rios drew a 6 rounder with Heiland,thats about as good as his record gets

Paul Butler fighting an Argie Hector Rolando Guzman,

14-1 but out of those 14 wins only one of his opponents had any wins to their name (and that was 1) at the time he fought them.

Only time he's fought outside of Argentina he was stopped in the 6th by Zhanat Zhakiyanov although did have him down in the 2nd. Predic easy week for Butler but could be fun while it lasts.

For those who care Raza Hamza stopped Krisztian Lakatos about 10 seconds into the opener with a left to the body then Leon Woodstock KO'd Ignac Kassai in the 1st too putting him down 3 times in the process,first time id seen Woodstock i look forward to seeing him again,good power which is always a bonus for a pro then last fight Macauley McGowan won a 6 rounder against Kevin McCauley,McGowan doesnt look like he carries enough power to make a dent as a pro but he's still only 20 so plenty time to develop his man strength

Good skills but very feather fisted.

Looks some way off power aswell. I'd say maybe give him 2 years of learning/easy fights. I wouldn't step him up at all until he gets a bit of snap in his work.

Agree about Woodstock he's a bit gung ho but exciting, I hope he shows he can box in his next few fights.

This cards shaping up to be plain boring

Leather stops Mooney in 4 ,put him down with a lovely right hand as Michael came rushing in,Mooney got up but Josh battered him around the ring before the ref stepped in

Great win for Leather and i thought this had points written all over it

Its hard to get excited about this card when Matthysse is fighting later, anyone else staying up?

not a bad win for Leather that,Mooneys usually quite a decent test.quite like the look of Leather will keep eye out for his future fights

Denny wins a 4 round decision,first time ive seen him,theres stuff to like but even more to work on,he's wild and lunges in constantly and as the commentery says his footwork is all over the place,he looks fun though and he's quick

God bless these rock hard journeymen. How else would prospects like Tyler learn their craft if willing losers like this wern't around? Must be the hardest way of all to make a few bob.

Guzman has a decent record 14-1, but it's the usual thing: never fought outside Argentina.

Wow its over after 30 seconds a wicked left hook downstairs put Guzman out for the count,very good shot from Butler

I agree. I really don't see why they do it but fair play to them, I wouldn't do it if I was offered thousands. It would be interesting to hear why they do what they do

It took former European Bantam champ Zhakiyanov 6 rounds to get rid of Guzman,he's not a world beater but thats as good a body shot your likely to see
