Thought it would be interesting to have a dedicated thread to see what the real appetite for this PPV is...

No. Which means that I have not seen Brooks last couple of fights, unfortunately. The same with Bellow-Cleverly II, which I've not even bothered to watch on youtube.

No. Kell Brook has passed me by. I've only seen him box once and I tuned in to watch the other guy. He got going at a time I was away, so it's nothing personal.

I will buy it only because I hate missing televised boxing.
In reality I shouldn't be buying this and my missus will kill me if she finds out I've ordered 3 in 6 weeks (which is inevitable as it goes out of a joint account)
This will leave a real sour taste in my mouth. I don't even mind paying for mediocrity but unless he adds at least 2 genuine world title fights (similar to Brook-Gavin undercard) then I find this PPV insulting.

As it stands?
No.
A decent world title fight, two EBU title fights and a couple solid domestic scraps (Wood vs Wale and Allen vs Machaj both have potential) and Eubank vs a knockover job (given that he is pencilled in for Dec 12) would make an excellent Saturday fight night on sky and should sell plenty of tickets.
But a pay-per-view, it is not.

SKY PPV cards are getting worse each time, from the days of a good UK card and a Tyson fight in the USA to Kell Brook v a nobody, I won't be paying especially as the main event has gone from the card.
It's like paying for Liverpool v Everton, match gets postponed and they still expect you to pay to watch the pre match kick about.

sky are a company to make money and the small sports like boxing are paying for the big sports like football
we as boxing fans are really getting fcuked over on this one
brook is now a ppv fighter who does not sell out arenas as small as Sheffield (fact)
at least when haye was ppv he had a massive following
aj is now a ppv fight which will be confirmed very soon and has only had 14 fights
taking the pis£ this is to be honest

I'll probably leave the decision as to whether to buy it or not until nearer the time when I can see what the offering is. I was definitely buying it before Klit/Fury got cancelled...

no and i hate missing boxing on the telly but this is just a pisstake, brook has done absolutley nothing to warrant a PPV status.

Even with Hearn, I would be slightly surprised if this stays PPV, I would think the public relations damage would outweigh the PPV money (it can't be expected to sell well) in the longer term. They just don't have enough time to stack the card now so it's hard to see how they can give the fans value for money.

Absolutely not.
I've bought Kessler, both Froch-Groves, Bellew-Clev, Brook-Gavin but no way will i buy this. I don't normally mind PPV as i usually go to someone's house and chip in a fiver but no intention here.
If this sells well then we are pretty screwed and there will be pretty much nothing to stop them doing the WWE model of a PPV every month if we accept this - people on here saying they don't like missing out so will buy it suggests they might can get away with this. I really hope it does under 100K.
As it stands it is a good fight card (fornicating great compared to some of the shit he has served up this year on normal Sky Sports) but it should be what we expect. I would say as it stands it is far worse than the Crolla-Perez I Manc non PPV card in July.
At this late stage, just over 3 weeks to go, you are looking at a similar situation to the Bellew-Cleverly card where names like Groves (not necessairly here) will be added in pointless tune up fights where they don;t even need to be in one - in this case it will be McDonnell, probably AJ (against an absolute plodder, but doing Hearn a favour), Murray, Bellew etc, all in pointless 1/100 type fights where they will hardly lose a round between them, but you can just see Hearn in his IFL interviews - "I'm really pleased with what we have put together Koog - we've got Joshua, we've got Bellew, we've got McDonnell, we've got Murray" and his face lights up and his Twitter fan boys will lap it up saying if you don't want to pay, don;t watch, nobody is forcing you etc. Mind, if you do an 'Eddie Hearn' or 'Eddie Hearn PPV' search on Twitter, the feedback is literally 90% negative.
It's not all Hearn's fault - he has obviously got contracts and obligations with Sky and needs to pay Brook the big bucks to keep him from Al, but that is not out fault and we shouldnt have to suffer - we have lost the main event of our product and really are getting short changed here. He simply can't put on a sufficient PPV card in the time he has left.
100% not buying this. To be honest, i downgraded Sky Sports to the family pack over the summer - thoroughly expecting them to ring back and give me an offer, which hasn't happened, but i have found a site which has allowed me to watch boxing, tennis, football etc on Sky in fantastic quality, pretty much like having SkyGo, so i will just use that for this sham PPV.

NO WAY. When you think we get to see GGG in a sensational matchup on normal BN tv, and yet sky expect us to PPV to see Brook in YET ANOTHER laughable match up against some no name 1-20 mismatch ? You've got to be joking.

I just can't imagine who would actually spend the best part of 20 quid on this as a PPV. The mind boggles.

I'm not doing it, I'll pay for a big fight or a good fight but I'm not into Brook being PPV whoever he boxes, he seems a lovely fellow but he's not earned the PPV status IMO. I'm all for Eddy making Brook a millionaire but he's got to fuckin fight someone who can hit him back, there's got to be give and take.

Not sure what else Hearn can do given his contract with Sky. If he wants to hold on to guys like Brook and Joshua he has to make them PPV. It takes the pressure of him, if they're given an agreed percentage of sales on the biggest ppv platform in the land and they make eff all that's their fault, not his fault.

I'm going to watch the fight at the arena, so not really fussed if its PPV or not. Even if I wasn't going, I may have bought it as I don't get Sky Sports anyway so I'm not paying a subscription.
I wonder how many boxing fans are dropping the Sky Sports packages now??? They dont really offer much for the money, so getting the odd PPV works out cheaper than being chained to an expensive contract which is all about the football (I love football but just can't justify paying what they want, I'd rather pay and go to live games).
I have B0xnati0n, which is absolutely great value, so bunging Sky a few quid now and then is fair enough...always better to go and watch things live anyway....
