There are too many God awful belts and too few fighters

There has never been a time in boxing history when there has been more belts available. At the same time, there has probably never been a time when we have had fewer professional fighters. Particularly here in Australia.
Just to chronic emphasize the imbalance of belts vs fighters, I believe the upcoming Joseph Parker vs Kali Meehan fight is for 7 different belts. 7 BELTS!
WTF ??

But to be fair, two of those belts are holding up their trousers

Kiwis know how to put on a BIG BIG show
6 boxers
9 titles, 4 title supervisors
4 judges/refs (alternating)
2 corner supervisors
2 timekeepers
etc etc
And there's more for undercard

IMO, main event is missing WBFoundation, IBO Asia Pacific & NZNBF/ANBF Australasian....hmmmmm....maybe Duco can't afford extra title supervisors?

only 4 belts have been confirmed
Kali didnt want to defend his WBA Pan African (eventually that will become vacant) instead the WBA Oceania title is on the line and instead of defending the WBC OPBF there is the WBC Euroasia pacific council and only one WBO title is on the line and there is the WBA PABA which originally wasnt going to be defended but they were convinced to defend it

Kevin Barry was talking a couple of weeks ago about 7 belts being on the line.
Whether it is 4, 5, 6 or 7 belts, it is nuts.
The best thing that could happen to boxing is half the belts getting sent straight to the tip where they belong.

Honestly for me belts mean nothing these days in boxing. What matters is your resume. Who you have beaten and who has beaten you.

Perhaps the orgs should just give every fighter a belt and then everyone could forget about them and just concentrate on getting the best fights made.

The system worked fine before those nothing belts were introduced. In fact much better than it does now. The importance placed on them is a big part of the problem.
