Not a lot out on Doheny... Southpaw... Decent pop on his shots... Since he is a southpaw, he mixes the uppercut well. Looks like a stalker who gains respect with pop and effectiveness.

It's not looking great for Denkaosan who should beat fighters like that or retire. But i feel the 2 recent KO losses & the 1 year layoff will be a problem... Add to that DenKaosan likes to fight like a warrio hanging in the pocket too long, getting hit plenty... It's not looking good for him.

Really intrigued about this one.

Vic Darchinyan's opponent looks frightfully underequipped. But there are some good fights on this card and you do get to see Vic, albeit probably only very briefly.

TJ Doheny will look for a clash with Moises Flores the current custodian of the WBA Interim World super bantamweight title after he stops former two time World Denkaosan Kaovichit in Australia this weekend.

Doheny faces the toughest test of his career, but believes he will pass it with flying colours.

“When I win I hope it will move me up higher in the rankings and get me closer to a big title shot. I would love a crack at the WBA Interim champ.

All of Denkaosan Kaovichit 69 fights bar five have been for titles and he brings plenty of experience to the table. He may have operated at lighter weights for the majority of his career, but he challenged for a World title as recent as last year and three fights ago.

It is a totally different prospect for Doheny, but he hasn’t taken a different approach to training ahead of what could prove a break through clash.

“Training wise I haven’t changed much. We’ve just been working on how we are going to deal with him and the way I’m feeling at the minute there is no reason why I can’t put on a good show for the fans and get a stoppage win.

“Having just 12 fights some people might not think much about it but i’ll keep taking every opportunity that there and prove I am world class fighter!”

TJ Doheny had a career best win. Now based in Australia, the PABA champion successfully defended his continental crown at the Alexandria Basketball Arena in New South Wales against former two-weight world champ Denkaosan Kaovichit.

The 28 year old southpaw had his Thai opponent down in the first round and was dominant throughout, finishing the job in the fifth.

Doheny’s bout was the headline fight on a card that featured the Australian homecoming of former two-weight champ Vic Darchiniyan.

With the win, Doheny improves his record to 13(9)-0, while Kaovichit’s ledger now reads 63(26)-6(5)-1.
