Question about the new season

So first off. I like the idea of the Crossweight Season, but I wonder. Are we going to have 2 Million Dollar Tournaments, and 2 Super Six's and all that?
I'm going to go with the P4P basis. Seems too big a weight difference between the two divisions. Calzaghe is great at 168, but I would imagine he'd struggle with your average cruiser walking around at 200.BoxBuzz wrote:Would it take place on a pound for pound basis when "mixing" the weights? Or do we plan to throw the lighter weight participants into the blades of the Helicopter?
Uh...sorry bout that Reviler.....perhaps you hadn't been informed of your demise.
For me there's just not enough guys to fight. Every one of the fighters on the list are at the very least good. So there's no names to build your guys up against or nothing or fight in tune ups after a loss.DaveyMac wrote:I'm not bitching but....does seem less exciting with so few fighters and them all from one era.
No. There will be a single MDT and a single Super Six. And to add a bit of clarity here, to quote myself from another thread; The Revival wrote:So Are we going to have 2 Million Dollar Tournaments, and 2 Super Six's and all that?
And from that, it is clear that both the MDT & The SS will take place after Week 21.Crease wrote:The structure of the season will change slightly, in that the two weight classes will stay apart for the first half of the season - and both weight classes will have 2 World Titles & a minor belt committed exclusively to them - but the "Berlin Wall" (as we are choosing to call it) will be smashed in Week 21, and it becomes a free-for-all. Following that, everything opens up...
Yes, it will be done on a P4P basis, it's the only way that if fair. On a World Title basis, the top 10 Cruisers will fight be eligible for two World Titles and vice versa.BoxBuzz wrote:Would it take place on a pound for pound basis when "mixing" the weights? Those two lists were drawn up by me. I have included every World Champion from both weight divisions. If you want to include any specific fighters, private mail Mr Fist or Mr Armageto and they will check the availability of them for you. If the fighter is on the database, they will discreetly be moved on to the appropriate fighter list. The Revival wrote:Also...is that seriously the only fighters that are in the Database in these weight classes? Not very many fighters represented in either weight class. Many more guys that could be on the list I'd think.
I'm afraid that's the nature of this season. The Cruiserweight division and the Super Middleweight division are among the youngest divisions' in our sport. Cruiser has had it's first World Champion in 1980 & Super Middle had it's first World Champion in 1984.DaveyMac wrote:I'm not bitching but....does seem less exciting with so few fighters and them all from one era.
I'll ask Mr Fist to throw in 4/5 tomato cans for each division. The Revival wrote:there's not really enough guys to fight against on the CPU side of varying levels of skill. Almost everybody is good at the very least.
