Foley vs Broadhurst

Foley vs Broadhurst looks to be on for late November...it's not in the schedule but its on Trent's facebook page...anyway i think this is a good fight if it happens. Foley has stepped it up this year but Trent has the better boxing pedigree.

Who is everyone picking in this one?

Ill take Foley on mid round stoppage similar towhat happened in the berridge fight for Broadhurst

I believe Trent Broadhurst v Kerry Foley will be on November 28 at the Mansfield Tavern, on the same card as Shannon "Shaggy" King vs Rocky Jerkic and Miles Zalewski v Darragh Foley.

This fight is off and Broadhurst is blowing up deluxe at Foley who says he's injured.

Damn shame.

He may well be but Broadhurst obviously doesn't think he is.

So Dr Broadhurst's diagnosis is at odds with that of Foley's own doctor?

Apparently this is the 3rd time Foley has pulled out with a fight with Trent. Be hard to line him up with a good opponent now.

Particularly Broadhurst it seems.

"An opponent with a set of balls should be announced soon" - Trent Broadhurst :D

I don't know if this is the third time Kerry has pulled out of a fight with Trent but I do know Kerry was suppose to fight Trent at the end of last year.
Kerry pulled out of that fight because he reinjured his hand he broke against Berridge in training.
If you look up Kerry's record you will notice he fought Berridge in Feb'14 and didn't fight again until May '15.
That was due to the broken hand he sustained in the Berridge fight which required several surgeries to repair.
Kerry has a ligitimate injury that he hurt during the Casey fight. He was hopeful with rest it would heal which it did to some degree, unfortunately it has been reagrivated in training and will not heal in time.
There is no reason for Kerry to pull out of this fight. He has loses on his record and is fighting for a title which will gain him a higher ranking.

Angelo said on FB that 3 times he has tried to make this fight happen and each time Kerry has pulled out. I could be wrong but that's coming from the promoter.

Kerry came back from a 32 month layoff to fight Berridge.
He was then injured in this fight and was not scheduled to fight until 8 months later in October '14 against Faris Chevalier which he pulled out of through injury.
He was scheduled to fight Trent in November '14.
If he had to pull out of the Faris fight through injury then obviously he was unfit to fight only 4 weeks later.
He was then unable to fight until May this year which is 7 months after pulling out of the Faris Chevalier fight.
Why would someone wait so long inbetween fights unless they were injured.
Also why would someone accept a fight 3 times unless they wanted to fight, you would just simply not accept it.
As I mentioned previously I am unsure of the third time they were scheduled and I'm not saying there wasn't as I truely do not know but looking at these time frames I have submitted you would think they must have been sometime this year.
Has there been a confirmed fight date on the schedule on boxrec since May of Kerry vs Trent?
I can understand the promoters frustration and feel sorry for him but there is not much a fighter can do if he is injured.

I'm only stating what the promoter said. Obviously you know otherwise. Regardless the fight is off and he needs another opponent.

Foley's replacement 31 yr old Muay Thai fighter Rob Powdrill
will be a tough test for Broadhurst.
