Hello!

Since there is not one shred of footage of Maxie Rosenbloom fighting (Amazing - but seems to be true!)
I was wondering if anyone had any High Resolution Photographs of him in the ring - or Training - or in any fight pose - or a weigh in ..
Anything that can be used - when I speak about his amazing career in the ring.

Thanks so much in advance!

The fights that he had with Greb, are DOUBLE UNAVAILABLE both under the curse of Maxie and Harry.

Not a sniff of either of them in a prize fight. Their moves were too fast and futuristic for the film that was available at the time.

Maybe the hunt is hopeless, but there is ONE clue banging about out there.

On a certain episode of the honeymooners, I think you can hear the TV in the background discussing an upcoming fight.....Levinsky and Rosenblooms names are mentioned.

Ralph and Norton comment on it I believe.

Not sure if they were each sort of headlining, or if they were facing each other. (Weight class issue here?)

Anyway.....IF it's a tape roll of some sort within the tv show, it could mean something exists.

But it could be people just reading a script regarding a fictional fight, written into the episode.

I've always wondered about that.

That Honeymooners episode in question was discussed in detail a couple of years ago.
check the old Gillette fight films thread)
I'll try and bump it up for you to perhaps refresh your(and others) memories.

I gave it a listen - and there was only crowed cheering and nothing more - but the whole episode is great!

Still looking for Pix of Rosenbloom fighting or in the ring - or training -
Anything other then Hollywood parts

Thanks!

Best place for any odd photos would probably be ebay.
just be sure to look under both slapsie and/or slapsy Rosenbloom
or better yet just plain Max Rosenbloom.
There is currently on ebay a ring action photo of Maxie Rosenbloom versus Joe Knight from 1934.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1934-Press-Phot ... 1442226819

(BTW there is a photograph of Max Rosenbloom in the ring with boxing trunks
knocking down actor Wayne Morris in a scene from the 1939 movie
THE KID FROM KOKOMO.
Here is a link to that photograph.

Thanks!

Yes - I have seen a few on ebay but can't really buy the amount I am looking for - for 20.00 a pop -
Thats why I am reaching out to people on the forum.

I would LOVE to find a copy of 'Kid from Kokomo' - and ANY Hollywood films that show Maxie in the ring - or training.
When I said I am not looking for Hollywood pix - it was public relations and stills of him that are NOT of him boxing or having anything to do with boxing.

I would love to find a copy of Kid from Kokomo and or any other footage of him boxing in Hollywood films - any idea where to look??

I can hardly believe how "lean and mean" that Maxie Rosenbloom looks in that photo.
you can even see some muscular definition in his arms.
I wonder if he also had a "Six-Pack" of abbs back then too?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1934-Press-Phot ... 1442226819

and he is also blocking simutaneously the other fighters left and right hand from punching?
man,that is cool.

Im sure you known - that the 'free' site you sent me to - was more of a site that asks for your credit card number.
Even if it says they will not charge it - you must know that giving your credit card info online, to an unknown place is not the smartest thing to do.
It sounded like you were giving me a lead - when in fact I have to be suspicious of what you really are doing.

Well I got to tell you that I personally dont have a credit card anymore,so I wouldnt know if this is a legitmate site or not(Reyneonline.com).
Maybe someone here can check to see if its a scam?
Perhaps it also has movies on it that you would have to pay to see as well?
(how many people in the world demand that they wanna see THE KID FROM KOKOMO anyway?
I mean netflix needs a credit card too dont they?

Have you ever paid for anything in your life? Sounds that you rely on everyone else to fork out for obtaining footage. You love a freebie don't you.? Cheap.
