what is the most obvious, that will surely happen after the impressiv TKO victory of GGG
one thing is for sure, if GGG does a blockbuster fight, actionpacked on ppv with an good end, than he will make a tone of new fans and GGG vs Cotto or GGG vs Canelo would realy be huge, big time money. the answer of what is the next after floyd boring runweather.

I predict nothing of the above, Golovkin will go to europe to make his IBF mandatory defense against Johnson/O'Kane winner ( C+ Level fighters unfortunately ) in January/February, THEN if he wins take on the Cotto/Canelo Winner in May

If Golovkin beats Lemieux in a dramatic fashion in a good battle, I would think that GGG would elevate himself to fighter that can sell out the MSG (or Staples Centre) against a Tureano Johnson in December.
Canelo vs GGG on Cinco de Mayo would me crazy.

Golovkin will NOT fight in December, thats very short time to prepare for another fight, especially if he gets hit a lot this Saturday. Tureano is Also fighting this Saturday so the logical answer is January/February..

why would he fight somebody very litle known like tureano for some dollar, when there is a mega million fight against ggg or cotto in MGM?
I say, he tkos lem and than faces canelo at mgm, for a blockbuster ppv showdown!

i do not like threads like this. i feel
it is disrespectful to the contender
to be brushed aside before the fight.

Because it would be a MANDATORY defense and it he will be staying active before a mega showdown with Cotto/Canelo, its that simple. Just because he can make PPV fight with them doesnt mean he has to fight 2 times per year.

tom loeflerr said they still want gennady to fight in europe once a year
so he will likely fight again in monaco next february as he does yearly
will be johnson 'kane winner
or (outside chance)
if michel soro whoops trout, they should pay him to fight golovkin in monaco, is the perfect place for that fight, with soro being french

Then the contender has to prove everyone wrong; that's his job.

Michel Soro is fighting Trout to be the mandatory for Charlo's IBF 154 Belt. I doubt he would throw that fight away if he beats Trout. Also the venue in Monaco is really small, so GGG doesn't really need a good opponent or a local opponent to sell tickets. Monaco is basically easy money location.

I think David will fall before Golovkin. After that, probably a quick comeback fight, a nice wee confidence builder against a C class opponent.

Wow i think Lemieux is the second best real MW right now. Everyone is looking at GGG like he is a monster but he will get test on saturday night .. I even picked Lemieux in the ptbf. I think there is a 20% chance David s shock the world.

lemieaux is so damn unathletic, watch him get destroyed inside 5

The way Lemieaux talks about his strategy, I think he gets stopped inside of 5 rounds. I thought he would last late, but unless he boxes smart he is getting KO'd early.

Re the Canelo fight, if Saul gets past Cotto. Has Alvarez ever been down? Do people think GGG will stop him? Will be interested to see if Canelo can withstand the punishment.

Very true. He was totally inferior to Triple-G, the only asset he had was good power. But power is nothing if you don't hit, and Lemieux barely did. Triple-G looked very good here, but i expect him to get hit more against faster fighters again. But in the end of the day, Triple-G can take it.
What is left now? Canelo/Cotto, Lee, Jacobs/Quillin... nobody will be a real challenge. Not even at 168 i see someone giving GGG a fight. I would have said Froch earlier, but Froch moves like he's got something stuck in his a** & you need to be athletic to beat GGG. I think DeGale could try it, and obviously Andre Ward.

You have either forgotten or not seen the Alvarez - Jose Miguel Cotto fight where Canelo was seriously hurt and almost stopped. Absolutely no doubt in my mind Triple G would rape Canelo.

hopefully GGG fights out here on the west coast again so I can see him fight live. Definitely make a point of going. Does not matter who it's against.

That's a fight in which I think body work would be particularly important for GGG. Canelo has generally shown a solid chin (the Cotto fight was years ago and the only instance I know of him being hurt) but he seems to have stamina issues and I think GGG would have a much better chance of stopping him, particularly late, if he consistently attacks with energy sapping body blows.

I thought he looked uncomfortable against Floyd a couple of times and do not think either Cotto or Canelo will face Golovkin.

I remember Alvarez getting momentarily hurt in that fight, I definitely don't remember him being almost stopped, not even close? But yeah, GGG would beat down Canelo and absolutely fvcking destroy Cotto - they both know it too, which is why the fights are extremely unlikely to ever happen.
