Look at this mess..

* In the heavyweight division they have Luis Ortiz as the WBA champ (Klitschko is)
* in the Cruiserweight division they have Beibut Shumenov as the WBA champ (Denis Lebedev is)
* In the Light Heavyweight division they have Juergen Braehmer as the WBA champ (Kovalev is)
* In the Super Middleweight division they have Vincent Feitzbutz as the WBA champ (Ward is)
* In the middleweight division they have GGG as the WBC champion (Cotto is), they have Alfonso Blanco as the WBA champion (Golovkin is).
* In the Super Welterweight division they have Lara as the WBA champion (Floyd is).

The same applies in the lower divisions, this whole mess boxrec has done. Please I hope a mod sees this and they can fix it as I dont think it is anything difficult at all

BoxRec site administrators: please fix this. :(

Alfonso Blanco is not the WBA middleweight champion, Gennady Golovkin is.

Luis Ortiz is not the WBA heavyweight champion, Wladimir Klitschko is.

How much of this can be traced to Super and Interim belts?

Well Idk but since Boxrec recognises ONE WBA champion at least put on the legit name on the table..

I'm hoping to become a WBA interim champion for my birthday.
I haven't boxed in ten years but I'm quite optimistic.

You just have to pay the sanctioning fee, and the WBA will give you an interim world title.

I've only been out four...let's sign the fight, both withdraw and share interim silver titles.

The winner will automatically get a mandatory against the WBA Baltic champ aswell.

It is one thing to complain about the problem.. another to figure out why.

My guess is that if someone is a "Super" champion, it's being treated as a different belt... and only the "Regular" champions are in the table.

Are you kidding me? We as boxing fans recognise only the "Higher" WBA champ, whether he has a Regular Belt (And none has a Super Belt) or whether he has a Super Belt. Thats the WBA champion for us fans, and they should correct that Mess of a table so even casuals should know what is going on..

I'm not saying it is working correctly.. I'm just theorizing on how it is working.

Yea but if it is working that way then the boxrec admins are complete IDIOTS. Because they are the ones who decide who to put as the WBA-WBO-IBF-WBC champ.. Its not like the boxrec Points which are computerized, This is different.

And im saying it yet again If any Mod can see this contact an Admin.

I'm sure they'll get right on that, but in case they don't, you might want to call the people you are trying to convince idiots a few more times. I'm sure that's working a treat.

They seem to not care, and I am sure many mods read all these posts, as they always Remove innapropriate topic's or move them to other sessions.

It's a bad idea because it's based on fight data. Guys move divisions, get stripped, demoted/promoted, etc. all the time... and this stuff isn't always represented by an actual fight.

Well it would still be wrong!
Klitschko is the WBA 'Super Champion' and the WBA's 'Regular Champion' is Ruslan Chagaev not Luis Ortiz.
Ortiz is their newly crowned 'Interim Champion'.
Ridiculous but true.
The WBC have a 'Silver' title. Maybe the WBA will have the same thing soon.

What is a bad idea? So what if they do? This is a boxing site, if they cant edit the champions all the time then they shouldnt have created the "Champions table" in the first place.

Alfonso Blanco is not the WBA middleweight champion, Gennady Golovkin is.

Luis Ortiz is not the WBA heavyweight champion, Wladimir Klitschko is.
This has now been changed to Chris Eubank Jr! :o
