Warning: Ward vs Kovalev Will Not Be Competitive

You saw what Floyd did to Corrales and Canelo...You saw what Rigo did to Nonito...You witnessed how easily Ward dispatched of Froch, Kessler,
Abraham, and Dawson. Kovalev will meet the SAME fate

Looking terribly confused & frustrated in between rounds resorting to illegal tactics where Ward decided to turn it up a notch hurting him badly
with the inside fighting popping Sergey's head up several times during the in fighting. Ward is going to totally outclass Kovalev.
Then of course Kovalev will then put the blame on John David terminating him 2 weeks after the fight. They will fall out and Sergey will be the one
to blame

So don't get your hopes up I'm just giving you the heads up!

You should probably change the title from "will" to "would" as the fight is not even scheduled to take place.

Ward needs to get by his next big fight first

Well, I agree with the title.

Me too. Kovalev would smash Andrea. The fight is not happening though. Ward is faking negotiations.

You would think that some people would eventually get tired of trolling....apparently not!

Seeing as, for the moment at least, Ward isn't fighting Kovalev, I'd tend to agree with the idea proposed here.

Kovalev is far more sophisticated fighter then Canelo or Donaire. If you still cant see that after Bernard Hopkins fight then there is really no hope for you.

It certainly would not be competitive, because it will probably never happen, unless Kovalev's form falls off a cliff.

Yeah, I mean Ward didn't fight Abraham, Kessler, Froch and Dawson until they were well past it, so why would he reverse his trend of picking faded looking fighters, right?

That was all before suing terminally ill person who did so much for him. Maybe he hates himself now.

What has any of that got to do with Sergey Kovalev today?

Anyone who says they don't want to see this fight is kidding themselves.

That Ward doesn't exactly have a habit of avoiding top fighters in their prime.

I get it, you don't like Andre Ward.

Yep, that is true too. Ward is no Hopkins -- he doesn't have Bernard's iron chin.

Correct, not only he is dirty in the ring, but also unpleasant (and I am proud of myself for not using stronger words

) outside of it.

Ward will neutralize Kovalev at every turn. Big money on Ward to beat Kovalev if they do actually fight. Kovalev is a very good fighter, but don't think beating a 50 yr old guy makes him all that. Wow, I hope this fight happens.

Same for GGG. There's this slight hesitation in his step that Ward will take advantage of.
The major problem for come forward pressure fighters is that guys like Ward, Hopkins and Floyd
have styles that are made to defeat that kind of opponent.
I remember something from Pokemon (my sisters used to watch it
![[icon_e_confused.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif)
)where it was like a water one has a big advantage over a stone one.
This is similar to what I'm talking about. It doesn't mean that the power fighter will lose, but any fighter of that type
will have major problems with Ward.
So far, the only type of fighter who somewhat consistently gives these types of guys problems are busy long fast fighters.
So instead of giving these guys so much credit for beating Pavlik, Canelo, Trinidad, etc, we should just chalk it up to water VS stone.
Or we should give them credit for mastering a style that when done incorrectly ... Berto.

You are an idiot if you think Ward can neutralize Kovalev at every turn. That's what happens when you only see through race coloured glasses.

Like Hopkins did with Kovalev right?

Maybe you should go back to watching Pokemon!

Like Bika was this long fast fighter right?
Go back to watching Pokemon as it is more in line with your intelligence level.
Kovalev will wreck Ward if and when Ward decides to test himself at 175. That chin is getting smashed into a thousand tiny pieces.

Add to it that Ward knows how to use his head as well effectively on the inside as well watch the Kessler fight lol and he has cat light reflexes in his
movement. This is a very bad matchup for Kovalev. Ward everything he does in the ring is to perfection. He is too perfect. Conditioning,
Mayweather realm skills, fights dirty like a young hopkins, very intelligent ring IQ, the total pckage and I am not falling for the okey doke this time
around. After the lopsided dec Stevenson will find some political way to avoid Andre like he did against Kovalev. The funny thing to me though that
Kovalev will blame his trainer for the loss. Hey is it just me or Kathy Duva looks satanic
![[icon_twisted.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif)
She looks heartless and evil behind the smiles.
She looks like a walking corpse prepared at the funeral home she gives me the creeps.

Agreed...Ward would tie up Kovalev inside and smother his power. It would be a VERY ugly fight, but I see Ward winning a clearcut decision.
You guys are dreaming again.
