So gentlemen, just confirm - Weeks 2 & 3 Matchup Threads are now open.

There will be NO CPU opponents available for these weeks...

This is done to give this season some much-need impetuous..... And also to test Managers' cunning, daring & know-how.

So both weight classes have 14 fighters, seven matchups per weight class.

Week 2 card will be run within the next 2-3 days, Week 3 card will be run within the next 4-5 days.

Remember: Unanswered challenges will be signed, so if you ignore a call-out it will be signed, the deadlines can be seen in the statement above.

You have been notified, now let battle commence.

This is highly unusual to be expected to plan your Week 3 managerial move without even knowing how Week 2 has played out yet. Particularly with the No CPU opponent option with it.

I can't say I'm a fan of this, but as I am thorough, and can go with the flow. I'll match my guys in time for Week 3...but not until Week 2 has been run.

Wait a minute.....

1. I lost out on my first draft choice purely by bad luck
2. I then developed a back up plan based on the rules as they were put in front of us for the season
3. Now the rules change mid season....and we are forced to dance to a new tune the piper has selected.

This is the "lemming" season.....and should not be referred to as anything other than the "Lemming" season.

Rules to most games are understood in advance.

Except of course if it's the government.

Did you hear that the state of Illinois has "decided" NOT to pay lottery winners due to the fact that they are in financial dire straits?

This includes some recent "winners"! Yep...you may have the "winning" ticket but you will not be paid. However...they will still SELL you a lottery ticket.

It's all fun and games. Who'da thunk you could BUY your ticket first...and THEN have the rules changed? Only in Illinois....and perhaps here at the Sim.

Seeing as how you and I were both reluctant to go along with this "Schedule 2 weeks of fights for your fighters, and no CPU opponents meaning you're basically not even being allowed to manage your guys the way you'd choose...in effect making the Sim pointless" thing. What say you and I fight each other in Week 3. Super Middleweight and Cruiserweight.

If not. I'll just see how the chips fall after Week 2, and schedule my guys accordingly for Week 3, but it seems as if everyone is all too gung ho to go ahead and make their plans for Week 3 already so we'll have few options left come matchup time for Week 3.

Like you though, I'm not at all a fan of this development.

If Buzz doesn't accept my challenge, I'll call out Crease as well.

Froch vs Steve Collins and Huck vs Johnny Nelson.

First I'll await to see what Buzz says, but if he declines I'd be cool with fighting Crease's boys for Week 3 as well.

This week it's all about the game marshal's...... they are the ones to decide.

Since we had the last draft pick, we would rather not engage our guys with the big boys until we've seen our fighters work against journeymen.

However, that is not an option with this set of rules....so during these weeks, we will ALWAYS accept the first request to face off.....which will at least manifest in SOMEONE having a say in their own fighters destiny.

We would prefer the ability to decide for ourselves.

However....it could be that it is actually BEST if others decide for us. For who are WE to make such decisions?

So Yes...we accept the fight....so that YOU the little guy, may feel the personal satisfaction of the freedom to choose.

It's Democracy in action, put your freedom to the test. A fight they choose, or a fight we choose. Which do you like best?

Not much need for managers in this environment.....

However we are making the same and not having to work. So it's not completely without it's upside benefits.

Nunn wants to rematch Benn (providing Buzz chooses not to accept his call on Frankie Liles).

*would be a good tactical move, let Nunn and Benn beat the hell out of each other one more time and then Liles can feast on the burnt out shell of a wreck** that remains of Michael Nunn in Week 4.

**not to be interpreted as a lack of confidence, only acknowledgement of how good a scrap that was. I fully expect Nunn to win the return, but I can see a trilogy in the making :box:
