Ryan Farrag European title fight tonight

In Belgium for the vacant title against Stephane Jamoye. No UK TV but there's a legal stream at http://www.rtc.be. Tough fight for him on the road, big ask for him to beat Jamoye in his backyard, especially as he's so inexperienced.

Jamoye has took some pastings though. So maybe the time is right for Farrag.

The Haskins fight even though he won was a big war. Yamanaka gave him a big beat down and so did Quigg.

Don't know how good Farrag is tbh good luck to him.

Farrag in the ring now, earlier than expected.

Good start from Farrag, can't miss with the right hand as Jamoye comes forward, pushing him back at times too. Ring looks huge which will suit him as the fight goes on.

Got Farrag 39-37 after 4, hurt Jamoye early in the fourth, boxing really well so far.

Better 5th for Jamoye, Farrag getting caught on the ropes too often, but he came on strong in the last minute and hurt Jamoye with a right hand at the end of the round, not having much trouble finding the target, scored the round level in the end.

Right hook to the body drops Jamoye, Farrag is breaking him up in there.

It looked like a good fight. Too bad my internet connection was rubbish.

I'll try to watch it on YouTube or something tomorrow.

This fight kinda went under the radar a bit. I hadn't noticed it myself until fight week when checking the schedule. Jamoye maybe isn't what he was but he's still a top European level operator and tough to beat in Belgium. Really good win here for Farrag. I didn't really give him much of a chance but great achievement. Well done :TU:

Scary to think Jamoye is only 26 with 35 fights and 4 stoppage defeats. Hope he doesn't fight on way into his 30s for his health's sake.

I remember covering his ABA semi-final win against Luke Campbell a few years ago. Farrag is technically a very good fighter and is quite under-rated. Congrats to him and his team.

He's got a lot of potential Farrag.

I'm glad his year has ended on a high.
