Old VHS tapes/magazines

Not sure if this is a waste of everyone's time but I'm moving house and have to get rid of piles of old boxing magazines and VHS tapes, some the usual stuff, some not so usual. They'll go in a skip or to the tip unless anyone is interested in them. You'd need to collect though. If anyone wants to come to Warwickshire and sort through them, let me know. There are old boxing t-shirts & sweatshirts around somewhere as well (not worn as far as I recall...) I'll leave this up for a week or so, then dispose of them.

I was looking through some of my old boxes over the weekend and found many VHS tapes. I thought, get around to taking a look at what is on them at some point, then realised that I don't own a VHS player anymore! Guess a lot of us are in that situation now.

Only collection?
I can pay a bit extra for postage if its within reason!

He's offering yo give away his collection for free and you want him to pack it all up and sort out postage, etc. You are the definition of a knobhead.

I gave up putting a anything on ebay because of pricks like that. I just chuck stuff out now or give it to people in the street. You'd put stuff on for a buy it now price of tuppence just to cover your time for listing it and helping the buyer put the thing in their car and explicitly state that it was for collection only because you don't have the time or inclination to wrestle with sticky tape and post-mistresses...and what do you get bombarded with? Hi, I live in the arse end of nowhere and am really interested in your industrial sized anvil that you're selling for a fiver, if I paid extra for a second class stamp could you sort out postage and delivery?

Typical post from you, absolute numpty. Why be so negative? Can't you string a coherent sentence together?

I ended up binning my vhs tapes, which was gutting. Loads of Benn, Eubank, Lewis and lots of Sky shows of the 1990's. I moved to a smaller house and couldnt keep them. I know you can get equipment now and burn dvd's from the vhs tapes but I didnt have the kit or the knowledge to do it.
They are pretty much obsolete now and in years to come I doubt people will even have dvd's of fights. Most of the fights I would have recorded on VHS i sky-plus now and delete them once I've watched them. There are a lot of good old fights on youtube, but for me its not the same sat watching them at a desk or on my phone.

A huge thanks to Mr and Mrs Mee for their generosity and hospitality yesterday. And for sharing some wonderful stories over coffee, actually that experience was even more worthwhile than collecting the old magazines themselves.
They have found a very grateful home and just this morning at the breakfast table I've been reading a terrific first issue (1989) of Boxing Monthly. First one I bought was 1991 so this is just superb and is the first of many, many treasures to enjoy.
