Haye vs Abdoul

It would be nice to see if Haye could stop this guy. I think he can.

didnt see the fight on Sat I did my usual of taping 3 hrs of friggin golf or the tour de france grrrr.
(Did this also with the bloody scott harrison fight) But the guy sounds durable but he would have to be to live with Haye in my view the most devastating offensive boxer in the UK at the moment.

dont really want to see the fight if its not made untill september, haye needs to fight more IMO, stopping him wont prove much as in haye and enzo will probably never fight.

I think Haye could stop him. Abdoul's pretty limited but tough but you can only be so tough for so long and he's been soundly outpointed a few times now. Haye has a few more gears than Enzo, whose style is more textbook and measured. I think Haye will probably find the angles to land more than one hard shot at a time, which Macca seemed to be having difficulty doing on Saturday. However, Haye probably takes more risks than Enzo in his efforts to land his shots.

Yeah maybe so but he did fight a hell of a lot in his first year as pro R.D. (8 within 12 months of turning pro) so while he has been inactive of late he couldnt keep going at that rate.

aaaw Chris those rose tinted spectacles mate, maybe bring back the boxing but not the forties themselves not sure I would have wanted to have gone through all that mate. Credit to the generations of people who did though, made of sterner stuff than the world we live in today.

How many fights per year would people like to see people have in their first year? Does age matter? Ie. People say Audley had too few because of his age, but would his progress be acceptable if he started at 19, not 29?
What about Haye? His opponents have been so limited, I think he should've had more first year fights. Anyone else agree?

no I dont, and i also think to destroy arthur williams in your tenth fight is pretty good going, hge is a better name than anyone on enzo's record.

Considering some of his fights over the past year, i don't think it's unreasonable to expect Haye to have been even more active than he has been. Most of his fights so far have been early KO's or TKO's where Haye hasn't had to extend himself, so i don't think he'd have had too many problems fighting another couple at this sort of level. 10 fights so far is pretty good though!!

I think the major problem for Haye is getting the dates, I don't think that being with the BBC exactly allows for a great number of possible TV dates, seeing as they have fornicate all boxing shows.

Taping Sky can be tricky, as not only do you have to set the video to the right time and channel, but the Sky box needs to be tuned into the right station too.
Here's a tip if you have a sky box.
Put the program you wish to record on auto reminder. That way, at least you know the Sky box will be tuned into the correct channel at the right time. Then all you have to do is set the Video corectly.

thanks Priff, I was gonna say Im not a total idiot, but hey I guess I am!
Its when Im rushed in the morning with a hangover you dont always double check!
I dunno what happened this time but I think the scheduling may have changed ont he Scott harrison fight I was away for ten days and did tape two out of three! So Im only a third idiot then. Seems fair to me

Haye would of applied more pressure and forced the stoppage. Macca was being cautious.

There isn't a cruiserweight in the world David Haye can't beat, on his night.
The same could never be said for Enzo.
Personally, I find it odd talking about them in the same thead. it's like talking about Dobbin & Shergar, and wondering who'd be best over 1m 4f at Epsom...

Haye lost a good 3months when the Swaby fight fell to pieces and could have even fought Hobson by now, had that fight gone ahead.
Haye would KTFO of Abdoul and Enzo on the same night.
Haye is the real deal here, get behind him.

Good point about him being tied to the BBC that has bugger all boxing coverage any more. But then when he signed for them they did. Now they have literally none besides him.
Isn't his contract with the BBC over now? Where now for him if it is? Continue to fight for the BBC but as main events? Go to Sky?

He'd have to be careful about which promoter he signed for as David Haye has very high ambitions.
