Another monster card from Russia tomorrow on allegedly at 1pm

Top of the bill Alexander Povetkin fights Maruisz Wach in an eliminator to fight WBC champ Wilder,solid heavyweight match up,both guys only defeats came on points against Wlad,Povetkin coming off the blow out of Perez which was a great win,i havent seen Wach since the Klitschko fight,he was well beat that night although he did stun Wladimir for a sec if i remember right Povetkin should be the far superior boxer and should outpoint Wach quite comfortably

Denis Lebedev defends his WBA Cruiserweight belt against Lateef Kayode,i havent seen Lebedev since getting that horrible beating from that prolific drug cheat Guillermo Jones,i never seen the Kalenga fight but its good to see Denis back to winning tough fights after that Jones fight,ive seen a fair bit of Kayode over the years and he can fight too,he got blitzed in a round from Luis Ortiz but it was changed to a ND after Ortiz failed a test I fancy Lebedev's experience to see him through and KO Kayode late on

Cesar Cuenca defends his IBF Light Welterweight title against fellow unbeaten Eduard Troyanovsky,another good match up that is 50/50 from what i can tell,Cuenca really impressed me last time out against Yang,didnt seem fazed fighting away from home and gave Yang a boxing lesson,i m not sure if ive seen Troyanovsky before,unless he's been on these Russian shows before and ive forgot,his record looks good on paper but no depth in it,i see Cuenca boxing to another wide decision


Ola Afolabi fighting Rakhim Chakhkiev in another belter of a match up and of course Dmitry Kudryashov

Im working tomorrow and am doing overtime all week but ive told them i'll not be doing it tomorrow,i finish at half 5 then after tea and a wash i'll be getting tore right in about this show

Another belting card from Russia.might even be the best yet,plenty of KO's is surely guaranteed

Was trying to blag the afternoon off work for this one. Hopefully get home on time to watch Lebedev Kayode and Povetkin Wach live and catch up with the rest after.

What a card for Wednesday afternoon better than Eddie hearns Saturday night ppv lol.

I booked the day off but turns out the missus has a hospital appointment at 3.45 so looks like a show in 2 halves for me. Can't wait!

I'm frickin nightshift and have to sleep! Need to record it and watch it on Fri morning when I finish up for the week.

I'm very much looking forward to this. Looks a cracker! Every fight is fire-works which is apt for this time of year!

There's some gruesome looking pictures of Lebedev's eye on google, hope for his sake he is in ok shape as wrong side of 40 now. The post fight boxrec report offered the opinion that the damage was so bad he might not be allowed to fight again.

I think all the away fighters are going to be wanting to get a KO as not expecting any favours from the Russian judges.

Found this on Wikipedia (I know Wikipedia isn't definitive but still interesting they are so blunt!):

"Denis Lebedev was left with a shocking eye injury after losing his WBA world cruiserweight title to Guillermo Jones. By the end of the bout, he could not see out of the injured eye but two judges had him winning 96-94 while the third had scored the bout 97-93 before he was knocked out in the eleventh round. According to most experts, Jones should have been winning clearly, and the suspicion is that the Russian Federation had fixed the bout. This would also explain the fact that the bout was not stopped, even after Lebedev's eye was grotesquely disfigured. However, Jones was stripped of his title later in the year for failing a drug test for this fight, resulting in Lebedev being reinstated as Champion by the WBA despite the result not bxeing overturned to a no contest. This is also considered highly suspect."

There's a title in all but one of the bouts which pretty much demonstrates how every fight is for some kind of trinket...!

Controversial there. I wonder if Cuenca was trying to protest against a perceived foul and then had it misinterpreted as quitting? I am not sure he quit. Would be nice to see the Russian give him a re-match. It was a strange fight with mixture of styles not gelling, but was interesting with Troyanovsky winning early rounds, Cuenca getting back into the fight as he warmed up, and with the added dimension that Troyanovsky is the KO machine whilst Cuenca has only 2 KO's to his name. I respect the allegedly guys, but they are stating he quit, didn't look like that to me on first viewing. Interesting to hear more.

Looked like he wanted an easy way out to me, was losing the fight, no real power to hurt troyanovsky.

I was shocked watching Chakiev try and blast out Ofalabi. Not only was Ola blocking a lot of shots but his chin is well known to be rock solid.

I though Chakiev would gas and get stopped in 8. Tried to put on a bet on Ofalbi in the previous round and found 4-1 price. Unfortunately I realised I'm waiting for a new card and so couldn't put the bet on.

It seems like then crowd are getting to the Russian fighters and they're looking too much for the KO. And against hard headed fighters. Nigerians always seem to have good chins
