Interesting that despite airing these views he gets virtually no criticism on this board which is strange because what I have seen on this site previously if somebody had called Fury a "gyppo" there would be pages of criticism saying how unacceptable that was in this day and age !

That's what I thought too when I read this. Plus it'll get some coverage and it'll feed into the gypsy warrior man from a bygone age rubbish that people seem to love. Whatever it takes to sell the fight, I think.

I did think that, but I am not so sure, Fury is at best rather unusual. I reckon he's got ADHD myself, some of the shit he comes out with is stream of consciousness, in fact most of it is, there seems to be no filter.

He's been a ranter for as long as I can remember. I remember when he was on Channel M years back with his dad, it was about the time he was trying to get an international vest for either gb or ire. He was going off about all sorts then too - all to unsettle Klitschko I'm sure.

Not true. Fury has repeatedly expressed his reactionary, homophobic views on many occasions before. And to think that Klitchko will read that paper and suddenly decides to relax and under prepare is just silly.

That's not my point. It's not the content of the views (as I agree Fury has made those points before), it is the apocalyptic "end of days" style of presentation that is the difference. It comes across as a rant, but not his usual style of rant. And the intention is obviously not to get Klitschko to under-prepare - Fury presumably wants to fill him with fear and get him to box scared. None of which will work at all, I suspect - it's all a bit Bray Wyatt and WWE.

Yeah he added few wrinkles to the story, but essentially it is the same story few steps further down. World that allows evil gays is doomed. Very typical, if you know that type of people, religious zealots at the fringes of the society.

I tend to concur. I'm not fond of bigots, however, I guess though he's fighting for the heavyweight title, not running for prime minister.

I don't think he's very bright judging by the shit he comes out with.
