Jones isn't often spoken about but he was a decent fighter. A fighter how would have done well if the cruiserweight division existed. He had some decent wins on his record, Bob Foster (WTKO8) and Zora Folley (WKO7) and was often heavily outweighed in his defeats. What are your thoughts on him?

He was pretty good. He had good boxing skills, was fast, and had some power. He was willing to take on tough competition, and has some success. Seemed to decline in his late 20s when he still should have been in his prime.
The cruiserweight division would have been ideal for him had it existed. There would have been a few other guys around that time who would have pretty good as well at cruiser as well such as Machen, Patterson, Folley, Mildenberger Cooper etc. However, some of them probably would have bothered with the cruiserweight division and would have gone after the heavyweight title.
