Daniel Geale vs Blake Caparello all but signed apparently.

Has the makings of a real good technical fight.

(didn't happen)

Excellent local matchup. I thing Geale will b a small light heavy and that he will not b content with trying to box on the outside. He will have to go inside.
Looking forward to this one if it happens

Geale is finished at anywhere near world level

If it happens, I'd say it'll be at super middy

What's world level got to do with it? If it eventuates, it'll most likely be Vic vs NSW over 10

I'm sure Geale is intelligent enough to realize that

I think Geale would outwork Caparello and cruise to a points win.

Likewise. Geale is by far more experienced in punching game

I think Geale holds all the aces in this one. Caparello probably hasn't got the power to derail Geale.

If Geale cannot beat Caparello then its time to hang'em

Agree Clive, But as y'know some people just love the game.
I never want to see either of them representing Australia against the elite level again because I think they are both just short of that class but locally, regionally If they want to go on I say letem go.

Geale should be looking at super middle - then line up Abraham or Murray for another big pay. I'm confident geale could complete at super middle very competently.

Geale has already announced he will be campaigning at super middle from now on. The fight with Caparello, should it come off, will be at super middle.

Geale more likely to fight Murdock than Caparello from what I am hearing.

There have been a number of whispers regarding Geale's next opponent.

First it was going to be Caparello. All but signed at one stage. Then Murdock seemed to be getting a mention.

But coming out of the Davey Browne fundraiser today is the whisper Zac Dunn could be next up for Geale in about 3 months time.

There is an "agreement in principal" for Dunn vs Geale according to Zac Dunn’s manager Barry Michael.

“This would be fantastic for Aussie boxing and it would create a lot of interest for the fans. It’s the old versus the new and a lot of people would come to watch this”, he said.

“Zac is looking to take another step in his development. Daniel Geale is a great fighter and he has been very good for a long time and it won’t be easy but Zac is improving with every fight and I think with his power and boxing ability, I believe he can win”.

“We have an ‘in principle’ agreement between both fighters and we all want the fight to happen but it’s the logistics of putting it together that sometimes takes a bit of time”, Michael said this week.

“This is a great fight between a good Australian ex-World Champion and one of Australia’s best prospects in Zac Dunn. It’s a nice mix of fighting styles making it a very attractive fight for Aussie boxing fans”.

“Our other issue is finding a network to pick the fight up. This fight is too good not to be televised”, he said, highlighting what is a problem for the sport in this country.

Word is if Zac Dunn can get a win against Geale, there is a potential for a superfight against one of world boxing’s all-time greats according to Barry Michael.

Pretty confident that's not who Michael is referring to.
