Donald Trump was a guest of honour yesterday of Dana White at ringside for UFC 290 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Great card with some cracking fights, especially Pantoja vs Moreno. How one judge had it 49-46 for Moreno when it looked like Pantoja had clearly won at minimum 3 rounds is beyond me. Looks like bad judging isn't the sole domain of boxing or figure skating. That judge should be banned from ever judging again. Looks like he was on the take with that scorecard.
Du Plesis was impressive in stopping Robert Whitaker last night though I was not a fan of his leaving the cage to go shake hands with Diaper Don though. Adesanya showed himself to be the low class lowlife he is yet again in the post fight meeting with Dricus Du Plesis to hype a potential match between them.
Dan Hooker vs. Jalin Turner turned into a great back and forth fight with Hooker just pulling it out in the last round for the split decision win. Great fight.
In the main event Volkanovski stopped Rodriguez and showed that he is without a doubt the greatest featherweight of all time. Can't see anyone at the weight being a challenge for him atm. He needs to move to 155 and challenge Makhachev again.
All in all the best fight card so far this year.

Poirier-Gaethje 2 is guaranteed fireworks. Poirier is one of my favourites.
Re: MMA
I was so hyped-up for this card (don't overlook the stylish match-up of Thompson vs. Pereira, and the sluggery we are going to see between Poatan and Blacho), then I remembered I had also Crawford vs. Spence to watch and now I am trying to coordinate the planets and my eyes to watch both at the same time.

Re: MMA
That was impressive from Sean O'Malley last night. I thought Sterling would try to take him down and wrestle but he didn't and it cost him. You can't fight Sugar Sean trying to outstrike him as his punching is just too accurate and powerful but having said that I actually think Chito stands a better chance against O'Malley standing than trying to wrestle him as his jab is very stiff, accurate and powerful. Bad strategy from Aljamain.
