Very odd goings on with the gloves debacle prior to the fight. Mind games from one of the fighters, or genuine and legitimate issue? Surprised when sky sports questioned whether they could get a pair of gloves there by Friday... Only takes 3 days to get to the bloody moon!

Shouldn't all these sort of issues been decided weeks ago - particularly for a world title fight?

Yeah he'd have know the first time he put them on and hit the bag something wasn't right.

Personally I don't think the champion should be able to dictate what gloves his opponent wears. Every fighter has a preference so they should be allowed to use what they prefer to wear.

It's something the Klitschko's have always done. As said Tyson would have known within a few minutes of putting them on there was a problem and I think the 5 week delay in telling Klitschko is a perfectly valid attempt to create a little havoc in the home camp for a change and put some pressure on them to get it sorted. Wlad and his team like everything to run smoothly, they are not used to being on the back foot over anything really and whilst it's a minor thing to us, it clearly aggravated Boente.

The bit that really interest's me is the hand wrapping when Vitali comes into team Fury dressing room to watch his hands being wrapped, many times they have intervened and demand either a complete re-wrap or complain that something is not right, the tension will be high at this point and its far from impossible it could flare up.

I am wondering who Team Fury will have in Wlad's changing room for the same event, this could be one fight where the preliminaries actually prove quite entertaining.

Yeah it seems like BS from what I can gather these gloves were a prototype made to wlads specifications as well. If he's selected the brand surely fury should be allowed to pick from a range of gloves from paffen.

I never read too much into all this bullshit to be honest. Sabre rattling and minor skirmishes.

Furys was mandatory so not sure why he agreed to them gloves anyway. He could have just worn his own Reyes ones

The thumb socket is about 3 inches bigger than standard so they don't hold the thumb in properly and cause it to stick out about an inch.

Gloves or no gloves - Fury aint bothered.

He will fight any man born of his mother either in the ring or on the cobbles - big stiff idiots are particularly welcome.

This is all a bit of a wind up - I don't blame him though, the K brothers are masters at this (watching hands being wrapped, asking for them to be re-wrapped, making opponents wait and generally pissing them about etc.)

Fury is one of the very few people who is doing the same back.
