Can't see it anywhere on here but Terry Flannagan v Derry Mathews officially announced by FW, takes place at the Echo Arena 13th Feb, live on allegedly.

Decent all British world title fight, looking forward to it Flannagan on points for me.

Nice looking fight. Think a little trip to Liverpool is in the offing for this.

Good fight. Not a good world title fight, in the true meaning mind but that's the norm these days.

DM is always dangerous and will give everything he's got but TF is all wrong for him IMO and his work rate will overwhelm him in the last 3-4 rounds I reckon

Think flannagan will stop him late.

Tickets on sale Monday will see what the prices are & hopefully get my hands on some.

would have thought it would have been better having the champ defending his title and more than likely winning in his home town, should have let the scousers travel to manc...

I thought that too, however Derry said on Twitter that Flanagan "had on option" but to travel to Liverpool. Probably Derry trying to make out the big man/big draw, and fair play to him for doing so, however I think the most likely reason however is the Arena is quite booked up.

To be fair I went FW last show in Manchester and it was nowhere near full and the echo being only half the size so maybe im being stupid but does that make it not just easier to fill but also cheaper to hire?

On the fight it's self as I'm mates with Derry will be fully supporting him Flanagan has done everything asked of him and well so far, but Derry is at his most dangerous as an underdog and I believe he is the puncher of the 2 it's a good fight C'mon Derry lad!

Yeah definitely think the size of the venue makes sense, really like the Echo arena for boxing not really a bad view quite fancy going up but got Frampton/Quigg same month £ isn't it.

Remember how nuts Terry's fans were at Wolves Civic (Ormond fight) reckon the crowd could be a bit lively with the whole Manc/Scousers rivalry.

Huge fan of Derry he's a top bloke but I favour Turbo on points in this one.

A decent contest this one. Who would deny Derry a stunning ko victory?

Just think as it is now Terry Flanaghan should be building his fan base in manchester.
Get a load of local manc names on the card and put some scousers in the under card along with Derry headlining and youve gog 10,000 there to see Flanaghan win again.

Terry looks solid, it'll be a good bout, Derry doesn't let himself down but Flannegan improves every bout.

I never went to it when it was still the GMex. I don't think there's any seats there any more (or wasn't last time I went about a year ago) so don't think that's work any more?

I agree that he should build in Manchester. Especially as it's convenient for me! But then Liverpool's only an hour on the train.

Liam Smith fighting in Manchester and now Flanaghan fighting in Liverpool.
FW needs to get hold of a map asap

Flannagan is levels above Derry and will stop him mid to late rounds TKO.

The Gmex (or Manchester Central) is just a flat hall though isn't it not great for boxing no tiered seating.

It's small but the Echo is great for boxing, not a bad view in the house, and loads of parking right next door too.

Yeah, I like the Echo. Even the seats right at the back are a decent view.

Not just FW that give away tickets, all you had to do for tickets to the recent Matchroom Sheffield show was go and spend more than £50 in Scotts on fight day.
