Where does this leave the Eggington fight that was supposed set for March?

Pretty sure the board won't allow anyone a license whilst on a suspended sentence (anyone clarify). Whats they're rules re fighting whilst on bail as article says it happened just after the Brook fight. Could this be the reason the Eggington fight really got delayed?

I bet even that bar brawl was a snoozefest with Frankie being involved

Frankie has made an absolute fool of himself here and his career looks to be in trouble. Had to laugh at the testimonial from Hearn the judge made him look a fool too.

Serious professional sportsmen don't get into these situations, just like they don't get themselves run over before a big fight. Gavin still playing at it I see. Eddie Hearn must rue the day.

Smashing a stood over one mans head, throwing broken bottles at another and then punching the doorman in the face - all on front of his two young children? Jesus.

Definitely lucky, I know lads who've got jail for a lot less on the same charge (usually dealt with in Crown Court round here maybe he was lucky it stayed in Mags). Mind you saying that you don't know how accurate the paper story is

Didn't realise this had happened, what will this mean for his license?

Stupid thing to get involved in, if mates are in trouble then you'll always feel you should help out but with your kids there it should be an easy choice to make, especially when it could put your career on the line.

If it happened the way the article reads he didn't really even help his mates out but decided to get in on it once someone was down and in front of his kids......if true got no sympathy for him.

BUT I know from personal experience these articles do tend to be sensationalised and basically report the prosecutions spin so I'd take it with a pinch of salt. As I say not always been an angel myself so am in no position to dig Frankie out hopefully puts it behind him.

True. I do hope this is something that forces him to knuckle down for a couple of years. Needs to show the people who have backed him that he is still worth investing in

The board have double standards when it come to suspending boxers.ive seen in the past journeymen have to box on a Malta license because of a fight in a pub.

If your kids are there you act like a man should and defuse the situation...and he wants train kids?!

Yeah I noticed this article because Jody Meikle was tweeting about it, be interesting to see what happens. Frankie is currently listed as suspended (but so are loads of boxers). Does anyone know if there is an out and out rule re: boxing whilst on a sentence and/or bail?

I saw and spoke to frankie on Saturday night at a white collar show. Asked him wen his back in the ring he said possibly end of jan. Regards to Eggington his happy to take the fight. About dropping to light welter he thinks it wud take to much out of him and b dry at the weight.

Regards to this trouble his a lucky boy. Awful behaviour in front of his kids.

That's who I was referring to.

His licence will be suspended for the duration of his sentence. Maybe better off going to her majesties pleasure for a couple of months??

It is a custodial sentence, just suspended.

I'm betting Frankie danced around throwing powder puff punches and not engaging at all on his way to a UD against the Latvian doorman who was called in to do that shift at 2 days notice.

This guy is a joke in and out of the ring.

Rules state any boxer serving a sentence for a criminal offence whether it be, suspended, license, probation, community service etc will not be allowed to box, there license will be revoked until the end of that period where they will need to reapply to BBBoC and attend a interview.

We have had to cancel a show due for this weekend due to one of our fighters still being on probation til January and the board not allowing him to fight, so if they have double standards in this matter they leave themselves wide open for legal proceedings just because a fighter is with a big promoter

Frankie is one of my best mates, like family, if e was involved to the extent the paper say which I doubt if accurate, he would of only been defending himself and his family, I hope he is allowed to carry on and box and not be suspended until what would be effectively January 2017 by the time he sits to get his license back.
