allegedly steps into the spotlight on Ringside this week.
Britain's leading boxing promoter has come in for some stick in recent week's and puts the record straight in an exclusive interview with boxing's number one TV show.
Warren has been criticised for not deleivering the big-name opponents Ricky Hatton and his fans crave, while Joe Calzaghe's proposed step up to light-heavyweight to take on Glen Johnson is yet to happen.
The Sports Network supremo has also come in for some hevayweight criticism from Audley Harrison, but takes time out to discuss the big issues surrounding his fighters and their futures.
Ringside regulars Barry McGuigan and Colin Jones will give their take on what Warren has to say, while also offering an expert analysis on last weekend's big fight action that saw Enzo Maccarinelli fail to impress, yet still retain his WBU cruiserweight title against Ismael Abdoul. Ringside also caught up with Maccarinelli's compatriots Joe Calzaghe and Gary Lockett who were present for the Newport showcase.
There is also a look at veteran referee Mickey Vann, ex-welterweigth champion Dave Boy Green on his forthcoming autobiography and a special tribute to Keith Jones, who passed the 100-fight milestone at the weekend.
And finally, there is a piece of people's champion Michael Watson, who will be lighting the torch for the London Youth Games this week.

Sorry mate, i've not found Warren funny for a long while. All we'll get are excuses we've heard before. So and so wants too much money etc..
I said in a post earlier this week that Warren is potentially the last real hope for British boxing, what i failed to add is that he's also the man to potentially ruin it for good.
Looking forward to the Dave Boy Green piece though.

The trouble with these 'exclusive' interviews, is that generally Frank just gets to make the same points he has made over and over again, and nobody dares challenge him on the really serious issues. I can't blame them to be honest, doesn't seem like it's in anyone's interests to upset the applecart. Sky don't want to piss on his chips that's for sure.
Why don't they have some people on there who aren't directly affiliated with Sky on there to ask Frank some proper questions.
I'm not saying that Frank can be held accountable for everything that's wrong with British boxing, nor that everything he says is a lie, but it's all too easy for Frank to get his point of view across and make out that it is gospel. Maybe I am wrong and someone will challenge him when he brings out the same lines we have heard before, but I won't be holding my breath.
Perhaps if someone were to go into more detail on topics like, 'there's not enough money to make these big fights.' And ask exactly how much is 'not enough' we would get there, but then again, what are the chances of Warren, (or any other promoter for that matter) revealing his margins and explaining exactly why it is that he doesn't think there is enough money in staging the big fights to make it worth his while.

Imagine a head-to-head debate with questions from the floor in a presidential style forum, with say Warren and a rival promoter as the two guests.
A kind of boxing question time. Now that could be interesting.

Yes, this is exactly what I mean, however, I doubt very much whether anyone would want to participate, not just Mr Warren.
I think generally promoters prefer to keep their business and the way it works to themselves, that was it's easy for them to have get out clauses when they don't want to make fights.
It's a great idea dave, but it ain't never gonna happen.

The harshest criticism of Warren will be qualified with "but these fights are hard to make".

I think it's a bit dewy eyed J to expect anything but hard-bitten skepticism on this forum, how positive are you feeling about this interview.
When exactly is this interview to take place?

yeah maybe your right mate Im a bit opimistic in my outlook on a lot of things, but I wil reserve the right to judge post the event.
