With Wlad out of the picture will this guy finally be spurred on to get the hell back in the ring? We talk a lot of about Wilder, Povetkin, Joshua but Haye is a guy who could be a serious threat to Fury with his speed and punching power. Now that he's got the belts I don't think Fury will be in a hurry to fight Haye now. Even tho it was probably the other way around before. Now that he's got all those belts I'm sure Haye will want that fight now.

He's down to fight De Mori in January I think. I imagine he'll want Tyson badly. I reckon it would be the biggest money maker out there for Fury too, but will he give Haye the pay day after the pull outs?

Haye will need to beat a legit top 10 contender; then the money the fight would garnish will be too much for Fury to turn down. But until then Haye needs to prove he can last 6 months without some sort of injury, and also not just cherry-pick B listers like he did his vs go around pre-Klitschko.

if I was fury i'd want at least a million upfront and if haye pulls out he keeps the mill

Wlad has a rematch clause which he'll certainly enforce, and i'm not sure how much truth there is to this but I've heard that if Wlad then loses the rematch there is a further clause that Vitali has the option of a fight.

Haye would love a crack at the belts imo, but he's no spring chicken and could be on a waiting list. At least it gives him a chance at some tune-up fights.

Yep haye will have to have a busy year and work his way up to no.1 contender. With his name value he should be able to land a big fight against povetkin or someone like that.
But what have injuries and time taken away? It will be interesting.

I know what you are saying but I think after Haye's injury " problems" I think he won't carry the same fanbase and even as short as next year ( providing he wins his next fight ) Joshua / Fury would be a massive stadium fight .

It will probably be a similar fight as Haye Klitschko was, Haye took distance from Klitschko because of his long arms, Klitschko took distance from Fury because of his long arms.

Haye will probably run around like a chicken, but still get hitted enough to let Fury win the rounds.

Finally there is some genuine interest in the heavyweight division again

Surely he doesn't beat a no hoper like De Mori and that gets him a shot at the legit Heavyweight Title

This is what kills me with everyone talking about Haye.Haye is now 35 years old.
Speed and timing are 2 of the first things to go on a fighter.With his long layoffs the timing will certainly
be off and the speed at his age just won't be the same as it was 5 or 6 years ago.
I do not consider Haye to have a chance in hell in a fight with Fury

Tyson has put it out there allready that he is never going to give David Haye that kind of payday and would rather vacate the titles if he becomes mandatory for them. Wilder vs Fury and Haye vs Joshua would be a nice 2016

I'm sure he thinks it, but let's say twelve months from now Tyson has beaten Wilder and Haye has beaten his way to a decent position, possibly beating Joshua on the way, and he gets the numbers that the fight could make. I bet it would change his mind. It could be the biggest fight this country will ever see.

I hope Fury freezes him out. Haye's behavior and activity are emblematic of all the cancerous things that hurt boxing. As talented as he certainly is, I'm horrified to see him come back as it will definitely lead to him being pushed as relevant regardless of how he performs against De Mori (short of losing, obviously).

The funny thing is I reckon Fury moved better dodging Wlad's punches that Haye did..

Wladimir wil win the rematch when he learns from looking at the tapes.

How can a David Haye thought even creep into ones mind? Are you a Brit? Give it a rest with this guy already. "boxers of the past" section would be best for a subject on David Haye and his toe.

yes, for the reason that Fury was slipping punches in a much more relaxed manner. Haye's evasive movements were always quite explosive but at the same time full of tension/nervous energy, and used a lot more energy.

He'll be 6 moths older and 40, Tyson will be high on confidence and six months into his prime. Vlad has no chance IMO , he had a great run earned a fortune, now he should sit back and enjoy life.

The Wlad that fought Fury wasn't the same Wlad that fought Haye in my opinion. Haye would have knocked Wlad out if he fought in the same manner he did Saturday night

I don't see him taking Povetkin in the run up to a big payday.
Povetkin would have given Haye trouble 3 years ago. He'd be a massive risk if Haye is anything short of his best.

I suspect Takam, Chagaev or Glaskov is as as tough as he would be likely to face at the end of a 3 fight run and hope that takes him to a big pay day against Fury.
Otherwise he may target Wilder as this will gain far more interest than a Povetkin bout
