Benn v Eubank 3

I wondered how long it would be before Nigel started shouting and making noises.

I think this is all talk and would never come off. Is anyone interested? I think so, I think a fight could certainly draw in a decent sized crowd but in reality it wouldnt happen in the UK I doubt, however if Freddy Flintoff can get licended I cannot see why Benn and Eubank cant get one.
Would anyone here be interested in this fight?

I wouldn't. If they wanted a third fight they should have done it after the draw they had.

Not me.
Unfortunately, both look as though they have kept themselves in good nick / weight, so it wouldn't surprise me if this happened. Hopefully the financial demands of both will stop this from happening.

Benn would fight Eubank every day for the rest of his life if he could, whereas I don't get the impression that Chris is that bothered.
I would certainly watch if it did happen, but more out of shock than out of interest.
I can't imagine that the world needs to watch two fifty year old men resurrecting a rivalry from quarter of a century ago.

Benn is a 2-1 outsider according to Paddy Power

I'd make Benn favourite by a country mile, Eubank isn't in anything like that kind of shape, and hasn't been in the gym in any seriousness for donkeys years.
Of the two, Benn is the one who I think would want it more. Reckon Eubank would end up sat on his stool after a couple of rounds, thinking 'thod thith for a game of tholdiers.'

I don't know. Eubank has a lot of pride and never quit before. I think it would be like Fenech-Nelson 3 with Benn winning on points.
If the money's there, spendthrift Chris would sign for the fight.

Oh I don't doubt there's a good chance of it happening.
Personally I think Eubank and Benn have been speaking for a while, and that the jungle thing was a platform to get people talking about the fight.

I'd have zero interest in that match. As great as their rivalry was, it belongs to that era. I'm not sure that the dough would be there for it either, it wouldn't come cheap

It could be on the undercard to Halger Leonard II

They should have Benn tarzan-vine it into camp in a loincloth, with two sets of boxing gloves and other assorted paraphernalia , then put up a PPV number for those who wanted to see the fight, they'd sell fakking millions to the mindless drones who watch that sort of shit.

P.s, I do watch it, but with cotton wool stuffed in my ears, whilst peering between my fingers - wearing a nappy.

Would be terrible to watch right now. The only reason they are mentioning it is to gain publicity. Probably Eubank has a book coming out at Christmas.

Super six with RJJ, Steve Collins, Calzaghe and Richie Woodall? By the time it finished they'd all be deaf, grey and impotent! In all seriousness I wouldn't mind if Eubank/Benn had a wee move about for charity or something along they lines but nothing competitive. It would prove nothing.

In honesty would the board re licence them ? I couldn't get re licenced for a home show win on a 4 rounder and id only announced my retirement about 3 months before.

It would be interesting if the BBBofC would sanction this fight.

He looked in pretty good shape in the jungle. Doesn't mean he is in boxing shape of course, but doesn't look like he would need too much time to get ready. I would be interested to know what weight class they would categorise themselves under, or whether they would go for a catch weight fight.

Nigel Benn was on Talk Sport 3 or 4 weeks ago and said that the fight had been on and off for quite some time. Three people had offered to put the money up, but had fell through - one of them was offering them a few million each.
It's going to happen and I'll be buying tickets if it's in the UK.
They are both in fantastic shape. Eubank took his top off in the jungle and is ripped to bits and has a fine set of #arsebollocks.

Sounds like someone is thinking of lining there pockets and retirement fund , Although i doubt Reggie if it would be like the Fench -Nelson fight ,, Azzumah was very unhappy with Fenech after that fiasco ,, he said after the sham , that they had an agreement they were not to go hard , and it was going to end in a draw ,, He reckoned he got shafted , Fenech got a win , and most of the money
