Any comments/criticisms of the British Top 30 P4P list are very welcome.

Not a criticism, but how has Haskins dropped one place? I know he didnt box, but he was awarded the world title. I can understand him not moving, but dropping him a place seems harsh. Ovill, dropped a place, but at least he lost.

Smith, Crolla, Afolabi and DeGale all move up after good wins.
Fury jumps to top spot after historic win.
Can't argue with any of that.

More changes than I can remember for a while. Just shows what a great month it's been. I'd probably have Crolla just behind Flanagan, good list though.

Afolabi rose above him because of his win against Chakhkiev.

Fair list.Is there an argument creeping in for McDonnell above Khan?

If Brook & Khan don't fight anyone good they should keep dropping

winner of Quigg/Frampton should go 3rd

Murray goes up after losing, Selby goes down after winning? Is it based on performance or results?

I think this month has seen the biggest changes at the very top so far.

It's been a very good month for British boxing.

Horse, I would be interested in hearing about what criteria you use when compiling this P4P list. Is it done purely on resume/results, or do you try to consider how the boxers would fare against each other if they were comparable sizes? Or is it a combination of these?

If Fury was the same size and weight as everybody else on the list he may not actually beat any of them. That's P4P. His success at the weight he's campaigning in is largely due to an advantage in height and weight, which are advantages that fighters can't have complementing each other in any other division. i.e. if you are taller than your opponent at a lower weight, you tend to have less weight on your body assuming similar frame size. P4P is Fury the best heavyweight in the world? Very doubtful. It's hard to assess heavies in a P4P sense given it's the division with the most height and weight variances.

Think the changes in the top 5 are merited. Perhaps an argument could be made that the order should be slightly different on ability, but based on the significance of the fights at the weekend I'm happy with the above.

Lots of question marks over the bottom 20. But I think those were well covered last month and I concur that the depth of British boxing just now makes a definitive order in the lower positions very hard to choose and open to subjective opinion.

Agree on Crolla.
Surely a win and a draw against a legit world title holder takes him above Billy Joe, Bellew and Burns

Good list though Brook is a bit too high for me - the win over Porter was close and nearly 16 months ago.

Not sure i like the idea of Fury being number 1
But that being said, he has the best win on his resume in comparison to those at the top, and it was very recent obviously.

so while im not necesarilly keen on the idea, i cant really argue with it.

Brook and Khan might plummet soon as the depth of quality in this list is very good. They've got to do better.

Selby was overtaken by Fury, so he dropped a place. Why do you seem so confused by these overtakings?

Murray was unlucky to lose again and I think he is much more proven at world level than Lee.

It's mostly resume and results, but ability and H2H comparisons come into it more when it is close.

It's pretty much the standard way of doing rankings.

Good list personally would have Crolla 3 places higher
