Yeah he's gonna be a PR disaster, Peter comes across as much more measured and respectful, saying that if my lad had just won the WBA,IBF & WBO world titles abroad against I guy who was unbeaten in 11 years, I'd probably get a bit giddy too

I spoke to a lad who was there at the auction and he said the incident is hugely exaggerated . Although an 11 year prison sentence suggests otherwise!

He only served 5 years of the 11 as his behaviour inside was impeccable. He did wrong and he served his time, and whilst clearly a bit mad, he now just seems to be a proud father trying to do his best by his family.

The press conference rant was comedy gold.

"Jonathan Ross has been on the phone, Piers Brosnan will be on the phone, the Queen will be wanting to give him some medals...where were they 3 years ago!?"

When it comes to understatements, John Fury is a "PR nightmare" is a bit like saying Hitler "wasn't very nice" to the Jews.

Hopefully Tyson will employ a PR person, and tell his dad to wind his neck in.

I think there's a measure of truth to it all.... The amount of hate, criticism, and all around ignorance thrown around after Fury has won makes one wonder aloud just how racist is Great Britain. When one looks at the statistics, it seems that its the last form of acceptable racism in the Isles and mainland Europe (travellers, romanies). Before the fight everyone was saying how impossible it was to defeat Klitschko because he was this all-time great. Now that its been done, everyone seems to be on the Joshua bandwagon or Haye bandwagon. Its all been diminished, and I think alot of it is because of this view that Tyson isnt a "true" Englishman, even though his family have been in the Isles for nearly a thousand years---- much longer than the likes of Haye, Lewis, Joshua, Whyte, and most the population.

Klitschko has been diminished as this hyped up champion. The era has been called the worst in all of history. And the insults keep piling up more and more. Its ironic the 180 everyone has made in the course of a few days. No respect given to Fury at all on this fight. He's like this champion that nobody wants---- because he isnt "native" in the eyes of most Englishmen. Which is beyond bizarre considering how much the Brits have embraced the likes of Hamed and Kahn who are only first, second or third generation Britains.

As for John Fury, he has the right to boast. He has the right to talk the hypocrisies of the world. All but 1 in the British press picked Fury to win and that was Ricky Hatton. More than 90% of fans and sportswriters around the globe picked Klitschko to win, and easily. Fury went into the man's backyard, used the champion's choice of gloves, fought in the champion's choice of ring and design... and embarassed one of the most dominate champions in boxing history, let alone heavyweight history. And its been marginalized into this little accomplished thing. Its absoloutely sickening.

Everyone for yearssssss has complained how boring the division is, and if only there was someone with charisma and charm and all around heat to build up the interest. And here the man is.... and an entire nation.... dismisses him, and would rather focus on a loud mouthed, blown up, former cruiserweight and a so far unproven heavyweight who has fought hand picked dead men. Its an embarassment, in my eyes. If I was English, I would be ashamed to call myself an Englishman right now, because of the outright dismissal of Tyson Fury and what he accomplished.

I hope for Tyson's sake, he rematches Klitschko and sparks the man out the next go around to put a question mark on the ordeal and then poleaxes Wilder and retires on top---- cus John Fury said it best anyways, "No one is going to give my son the credit anyways, because we're nothing but gyppos in everyone's eyes." They already have their minds set, that the world is never going to be behind them. And so far in the press, and on media sites the world over, it seems that they are right.

Besides, who cares. Let the old man have his day in the sun, alongside his son. They proved everyone wrong, and they did something that no one else from their culture has ever done. Let the old man brag and boast and say whatever he wants. I will say, though, I feel sorry for Peter Fury and Hughie when it is their turn to win the titles---- cus if Tyson is dismissed, I can only imagine it being more of the same for them. Absoloutely disgraceful.
