Has anyone heard from Gary Cornish? Losing to Anthony Joshua is nothing to be ashamed about. Will he fight on? There are plenty of domestic battles for him and with his record, fairly lucrative international bouts I am sure.

There are loads of British level fights out there for him, but he'd have to travel outside of Scotland really. Unless one of the TV giants want to put a show on up in Scotland.

David Price?

Is he really that good? No disrespect to him but although he built up an unbeaten record he hardly set the world alight, or beat anyone of note. A big guy but average power and not skilful enough to be a major player.

You're right mate. After my post re checked his record. Not really a who's who of heavyweight boxing.

He caught Joshua with a jab - Joshua even seemed surprised by it and commented on a few times after the fight.

I just watched the fight again - Cornish has a nice jab and his fundamentals look fine to me. He got hit by a corker of hook and instead of taking the next minute off, he came right back at AJ and got knocked out.

I am sure he can work his way back - not to challenge your Furys or Joshuas anytime soon but to earn decent money on the European circuit.

I reckon Cornish-Sexton would be a good 50/50 scrap.

He got totally demolished within a round, yeah a great performance.

How did you expect him to perform if he exceeded your expectations? Hit his head on the door on the way out the dressing room and KO himself?

Maybe he is waiting for Henderson to pick up a few more wins then look at making a Scottish heavyweight derby.

What I mean is that I expected him to completely freeze. I appreciated the fact that he actually tried to get behind a stiff jab and fire the straight right. People get knocked out, it happens. But he wasn't psychologically overawed by the occasion, and fought with belief.
