Hi guys what are your opinions on Broner? He was showing great potential when he first came on the scene, but his display against Porter was awful.- what division do you think he's most suited to?
I see he is fighting Ashley Theophane, I can see Broner winning this easy - but I think there are many fighters out there that can beat Broner.
Do you think if he stopped trying to be the next Mayweather he would be seen in a different light?
DISCUSS!!!!

I think the main issue with Broner was letting his activities outside the ring dictate the weight he was going to fight at. He went up in weights too fast, mainly because he was getting fat inbetween fights. His natural weight is probably the one he is at now, so I hope he stays there for a few years. As you say, maybe he was trying to be too much like Money.
I am glad Theophane gets a shot at a World title, but not really sure he deserves one. That doesn't seem to stop matches being made these days though of course.
Would love to see Broner Vs Figueroa Jr, I think that would be a great fight.

He could of been a fantastic lightweight but decided to fight at higher weight classes.
He's way too small at welter and got exposed by maidana.
He's competitive at LWW but will struggle against the likes of Crawford and Postol.
I still feel he could make lightweight and this is where he could dominate but there's not enough money there for him.

Broner has a lot of talent, no question, but I think his fame went to his head. His ego quickly outgrew his talent and most likely the work in the gym. He was trying too hard to be Floyd. He is still dangerous for most anyone at 140.
