What are they investigating, and why?

The stuff that has been reported in the papers doesn't need Columbo to help out seeing as they have videos of him saying it.

If they find that he brought the sport into disrepute or something then what will they do?

The BBBofC, a self appointed body within a LTD company are frauds. It's like a private business ruling over a sport but without a mandate. Fvck them. I hope Fury fvcks them off

They can't really stand by and do nothing after he has made homophobic comments. The FA wouldn't let something like that slide. Snooker fines players for swearing, so does the LTA for Tennis.Virtually all governing bodies do.

It'll probably be a paper exercise and a smallish (well within his means) fine. Can't see it being a big deal. Can't see anyone being surprised, least of all Team Fury. This is the flip-side of the coin to all the PR and attention he has gained from saying these things. It helps to sell fights for him. He isn't daft, he knows what he is doing and beneath all the shock tactics he uses; he is an intelligent, articulate bloke. I hear that he is very generous, very kind hearted and that a lot of his rants are just to get the media attention that he needs to ensure more people tune in/buy PPV/tickets for his fights.

Like it or lump it, political correctness has invaded sports. Can't do anything about it. We all moan that boxing is/has become a marginalised sport in this country. In order for the sport to move forwards from where it is now this sort of thing has to be dealt with by the board. Otherwise the sport will not be taken seriously.

No drama.

Only problem is HE did'nt say anything wrong , What he said has been misquoted and took out of context , by peanuts looking for an agenda , my cousins a pillow biter of the highest kind , he read some of the comments Tyson was supposed to have said , and got his frilly knickers in a right twist , grabbed his handbag and stormed of to the florist to buy a carnation and cheer himself up he did , Oh deary me the thought of Tyson suggesting that 50 years ago it would of been seen has unbelievable .

Problem is theres too many ponces and nonces that have the public eye and ear to sway people , remember most of them have an agenda

Since when has the heavyweight champion of the world had to play by anyone's rules?

Utter arsebollocks that people are trying to pull this 'he's a role model now' nonsense. He is his own man, does as he likes and that's his prerogative. I hope he tells whoever is complying to do one.

I think this is a big problem today. We are to freaking politically correct.
Fury did not make any threats towards anyone. He just stated his opinion right or wrong.
I don't have to agree with what anyone says but if they are not threatening someone why the hell would I care?

Like it or not, in the world we live in you can't go around saying things like that without someone kicking off, and subsequently repercussions.

Problem Fury has is nobody gave a shit / took any notice when he was fighting Latvian roadsweepers and unheard of Europeans. Now he's HW champion, the world is watching! Worryingly some just out of uni freelancer will be trawling through every video and interview, from day dot, looking for "gold dust" snippets.

I hate that we live in a world full of a bunch pussies. If you don't like what some one says don't listen walk away or just ignore the schmuck.
But this crap of people not being able to say anything without fear of offending someone is insane.
Like I said earlier if he isn't threatening anyone who really should care?

That's the problem with Britain and its "board".... and this is why most of the world considers it to be full of pansies.... Either you have freedom of speech, or you dont in this world... Fact is, he's an athlete. He's not a statesman. He's a celebrity, not a govenor. He's a boxer, not a monarch. So what the hell is the deal?

The "board" can go and shove it up their pompous, self righteous asses. If 'appearances' and the pageantry of dignity, a facade, is what matters to the "board", then yes Tyson Fury isn't your man because he is not a man who will carefully select his words and be something that he's not. He is a blunt, straight forward and honest man.

I may not like some of the things he has said... but then again, I never can tell at times whether he is joking or exaggerating. So I take it with a grain of salt by and large. This is boxing, this is entertainment. What do you expect of him? To be Lennox Lewis? To be Frank Bruno? To me... Bruno and Lewis are almost Uncle Tom's because they acted like rich white guys with snobbish attitudes, or were typical "yes men". Tyson Fury is his own man, own personality, has his own mind and beliefs and the press wants to control him just like the boxing organisations want to try and muscle him (shame on you IBF).

The "board" can investigate all they want, render whatever verdict or opinion they want.... I say fornicate Great Britain and Team Fury come to America where people aren't so bitchy and pissy and pussified about things.

I know, but it is the world we live in. UK is particularly bad. Fury will do one of 2 things, not give a shit and speak his mind, or hire a PR guy and temper his comments. If he were to appear on a chat show like Johnathan Ross he'd be a ticking time bomb.

On other hand Bernard Hopkins say (about Calzaghe) "I'll never lose to a white boy". Imagine if Fury said about Wilder "I'll never lose to a person" or equivalent.

And it's ok for Tony Blair to send UK troops into Iraq on basis they have Weapons of mass destruction, when they didn't. Or Cameron telling UK we have to bomb Assad in Syria in 2013, then help him in 2015.

But when a boxer says women belong in the kitchen....

Tyson will always have fans who like his antics and he will get plenty of people who dislike him and want to see him get beat. What does it matter as long as they buy the PPV.

The liberal PC brigade are out to suppress another point of view they don't like. The liberal worldview doesn't allow for a range of opinion, only those that stay close to what they have decided the centre attitude is, and they will attempt to ostracise anyone who dares deviate. They're like soft Stalins. They're certainly not liberal.

Fury would be very wise to not apologise. Those who shrug off these sillly internet outrages deny the social justice warriors their pound of flesh and tend to come out unscathed.

So Fury doesn't win the sportsman of the year. Who gives a crap? He's the heavyweight champion of the world.

Fury a celebrity? He is about as far from a celebrity as you can get! Kardashian, that great US role model, he most certainly isn't!

Lewis an uncle Tom? Lewis did everything on his own terms. You seem to have next to no knowledge of the average Brit. I imagine you sit there thinking we all talk like the queen and ravish mens bottoms at every opportunity.
Fact is, the vast majority of British people could't care less about what Fury was supposed to have said, its just a tiny percentage of people who jump on such things, much like everywhere else, US included.

Fury and his team wouldn't be allowed in the US due to their pussified visa laws. :TU:

To be fair to the BBBC, statements from Prime Ministers on military action are a bit outside the scope of their remit
