deontay wilder vs slim pickings

So wbc champ deontay wilder(35-0) is running out of time for an opponent for his scheduled title fight at the barclays centers on january 16th so the champs team is resorting to finding the most bare bums in the shower as possible opponents for wilder basically there tryna get a fringe contender pay them a quarter of what wilder is getting so about 500k so still a nice payday but only giving whoever they choose to fight 6 weeks to prepare. Cannon shannon briggs(59-6-1) is the name people are shouting right now, briggs a good fighter over 15 years ago when he won the wbo world title back in 1998 but went on the lose to talented opposition like when he was crushed an broke down by vitali klitschko a few years back but hes won 8 fights on the spin since returning three years ago mostly against lesser opponents but he has a punches chance of winning but it could be slim against a younger taller fighter in wilder so i dont think it will be a competive fight and woudnt go past 6 in my opinion. Glazkov was the potential opponent undefeated and #1 with the ibf he has decided to go down that route since it looks like tyson fury will vacate the belt so he rather take on the easier fight with #2 IBF charles martin then face wilder.
But its desperate times when 50 year old wbc FECARBOX champ billy wright is being mentioned i mean this is a fighter who was KO'd by retired fighter micheal moorer 20 years ago an yes he holds the lesser wbc titles but this is a guy who was knocked out everytime he fights a top level fighter even in his prime 20+ years ago and it would be low for boxing and the broadcasters to schedule that fight. Tbh i think wilder will play it safe and fight ranked fighter artur szpillka hes similar to the last two fighters wilder has faced an he can be used as a stay busy fight till wilders team can get more organised to face a better opponent later in the year maybe finally taking in his mandotry with povetkin or a unification with the winner of klitschko-fury 2 but all im saying i hope the fans get to see more planned out top level heavyweight boxing very soon.
