I don't know the answer, but it would be interesting to know. Let's discount boxers that are ineligible.

Any ideas?

Johnny Risko had 7. (Loughran, Walker, Sharkey, Godfrey, Berlanbach, Delaney, and Baer). I'm guessing he would have to be up there.

Ernie Schaaf had 4 (Loughran, Braddock, Baer, and Stribling)

Neither Risko or Schaaf ever even got a title shot. They were 1-1 vs each other.

Jimmy Leto beat 6 different HOF'ers, and drew with 2 more so he's got to be close.

Lew Feldman and Del Flanagan come to my mind. I am going to check their records

Del Flanagan is in World Boxing Hall of Fame. He beat about 5 HOFs. Lew Feldman beat about 8 HOFs.

When we're talking about how many HOFers someone has met/defeated... aren't we only counting members of the IBHOF?

Yes, the person who started the post stated the IBHOF.

I believe Flanagan beat 3 (Gavilan, Pastrano, and Saddler)
Looks like Feldman beat 4 (Wright, Jenkins, M. Wolgast, and Battalino)

That Lew Feldman certainly gotta be inducted some day. He beat 5HOFs and a possible 7. He beat Chalky Wright, Mike Belloise, Lew Jenkins, Midget Wolgast, Freddie "Red" Cochrane, Battling Battalino, Petey Sarron, and Tommy Paul. All of them world champions in one way or another. He beat 8 world champions!

He also fought the greats Kid Chocolate and Henry Armstrong.

Ok, then the answer is Johnny Risko... as Ambling Alp has already mentioned. No other non-HOFer has defeated 7 HOFers.

That's a lot of HOFs Johnny Risko beat
