After only having the belt for two weeks, they've stripped him. The IBF like stripping fighters!

It's a big pile of hairy sweaty bollocks, but we knew it would happen the moment the IBF mandated Glazkov about seven seconds after Fury won the belts.
Soon there will be two paper champions in the heavyweight division.

IBF happy to take that pile of cash for their first fight - then strip him 14 days later?
Glazkov struggled against Steve Cunningham from memory.
Any new champion should be afforded a grace period before being instantly shoe horned in for a defense.
OR Fury should have just fought him, whilst Wlad had a tunne up, then do it for all the belts again.

I dont want to point any fingers but surely Mick knew about the situation regarding the IBF before the fight, and since Fury was mandatory for the WBO,he could have told Team Klitschko they werent getting a penny for the IBF sanctioning fees because it would compromise their rematch agreement
Maybe not? or maybe they would bank on the IBF to see sense and allow Tyson to face Glazkov after the Wlad rematch??
Either way thats a few grand to the pan for a title he held for under a fortnight

There is only 1 champ, no matter who holds the belts.

Fury should have just organised a press conference, binned the belts and made his own world title.
Everybody knows he is the top man in the HW division after beating Klitschko.
Would avoid paying the sactioning fees.
He is the name in the division now, beat Wlad in a rematch then face Wilder and then bin that title aswell.
Divison cleared out. Only Fury left standing...

Deontay Wilder?

An absolute disgrace, the IBF has double standards in many of its decisions. If Wlad had beaten Fury in a close SD match, and they went for a rematch, they wouldn't strip Kiltschko...never in a million years. I am not sure what they are trying to do here, having a paper champion at the helm. If David Haye is smart he will go the IBF route now and beat some chump for the belt.

Yeah man, of course, a basketball player who beats up bricklayers and taxi drivers has to be number 1.

Doesn't Hearn have a good relationship with the IBF? Wouldn't be surprised if AJ gets a shot next year.

Don't rule out them sanctioning Joshua v Whyte for the vacant belt!

Your laughing mate, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I suspect that if Fury wins the rematch with Wlad that he may lose more belts outside the ring.

At least AJ would be a good champion imo. The IBF thinking that Martin or Glazkov would be best to be their champion is an absolute joke.

He won't be viewed as a champion until he beats Fury IMO and that's goes for every other HW too. Fury beat the Man.

At the top level belts mean very little anymore. All the fans know who the top dog is and that's all that matters. Let the IBF whore out their belt, it means nothing. Whoever wins it will be nothing more than a belt holder! Fury is the real champion.

Yeah, and they won't get much in sanctioning fees either.

If that becomes and IBF title fight, it'll be the last nail in the coffin on whether I buy this PPV or not.
I'm already thinking not as it is.

That Glazkov is fighting a guy Martin for the vacant belt. Riveting stuff! Wouldn't be at all surprised if AJ Whyte ended up as some sort of eliminator though!
