‘Del Boy’ wants to face Joshua vs. Whyte winner
Dereck Chisora has replaced Josh Warrington on the bumper bill at The O2 on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports Box Office – and he’s hunting the winner of the British and Commonwealth Heavyweight title clash between Anthony Joshua MBE and Dereck Chisora.
‘Del Boy’ returned landed a 23rd pro win on Saturday night in Hamburg, registering a 15th stoppage win in his first fight with new promoters Sauerland. The Finchley man gets straight back into action in London this weekend and is looking to regain the titles he held in 2010 and replaces Warrington has been forced out of his fight with a virus.
Chisora is part of a massive night of action, topped by Anthony Joshua MBE taking on bitter rival Dillian Whyte for the British and Commonwealth Heavyweight titles.
Chris Eubank Jr and Spike O’Sullivan meet in a final eliminator for the WBA World Middleweight title, Kevin Mitchell meets Ismael Barroso for the WBA Interim Lightweight title with the winner facing newly crowned WBA supremo Anthony Crolla, Tony Bellew faces Mateusz Masternak for the vacant European Cruiserweight title, Joshua’s fellow Olympic gold medal hero Luke Campbell MBE defends his WBC International Lightweight title against Yvan Mendy and Paulie Malignaggi challenges Antonio Moscatiello for the EU Welterweight title.

Chisora...just what that PPV needed

Chisora is clearly the lined up next opponent for Joshua should he beat Whyte on Saturday, can be the only real reason he is added to the bill.

He is with Sauerland now and they work with Hearn quite often nowadays so it's an easy fight to make and I guess a logical step for AJ.

No doubt they'll be scouring the building sites of London for an opponent.

Why do we want to see Chisora Vs Joshua??? Is he much better than Whyte is?

Chisora only fought on Saturday.

Don't disagree with you at all, at this stage Chisora is probably not a lot better than Whyte if at all but he does still remain Mandatory for the EBU
title and that could be a route they choose to go whilst they wait for a world title shot.

Also if he wins Saturday then for arguments sake take Chisora out early as well that would still be a decent statement and would make him mandatory for the EBU.

All guesswork of course but for Chisora a Joshua fight would probably be the biggest earner he can get by some considerable way.

Me too maybe a few years back, best days are behind him I think, saying that he's got a lot of high level experience.

Stiverne would certainly get him noticed if he blasted him out but I just can't see them bothering with putting Chisora on the bill even to cover for Warrington if he was not in there mind for Joshua's next opponent, I may be completely wrong and quite hope I am and they move Joshua on faster than that. A lot might depend on Glazkov/Martin who are fighting for Fury's "old" IBF belt. If Eddie could make a silly offer the winner might come over to Britain in the summer for a title dust up.

I just don't see the sense in waiting until throwing him in the mix. Eddie is so worried about his prized asset getting derailed that he is being overly cautious. Joshua could reign supreme for years, and that would make Hearn a lot more money. Everyone wants to see him in a bigger fight. I am so annoyed at how much they have hyped this fight against Whyte. The only way I would have ever considered paying for this PPV would be to watch Spike Vs Eubank Jr.

I think Eubank v Spike is going to be painfully one sided.

Anyone who buys this glorified domestic card as a PPV must need their head examined, or have too much money to care.

Whyte is a nobody.

McDermott may well have knocked him out for the English title if they fought. Whyte has proven nothing.

Chisora is a massive step up from Whyte. Whyte is a step down from Johnson.

At least none ppv buyers will get to see Joshua in action again should he face Chisora........
