Have to say a great night of boxing with some great match-ups.
Luke Campbell looked very flat, but even more worrying, looked like it was a step up too early. He was making lots of mistakes which would question whether he is getting quality coaching. Can come back but needs to prove something now.
Tony Bellew did well to win. Last 2 rounds showed a lot of heart and great to see him a little humble afterwards. 33 and at last a major belt for him. In my opinion this was always his level.
Kevin Mitchell is such an enigma. Can put in some really classy shows at times and then look really vulnerable at others. Sorry to say it but I think he will go down as one the talented few not to win a world belt.
The top 2 fights were barnstormers. Real bad blood for a change.
Chris Eubank Jnr showed no respect to Spike and could have been KO'd early. He did get hit with a peach of a shot but came through it well. I would love to see a rematch with BJS. Money would be on Jnr next time.
And AJ is not all that yet. What we did see was some vulnerabilities but I think more importantly he took a good shot and came back. He finally started to listen to instruction once the red mist cleared. He is not world level yet and needs a few more fights before he should be approaching the best out there. Maybe 2016 is too early and the plan should be 2017.
I have to say I am not happy forking out for PPV anytime and I was disappointed at the thought of paying for this card. However the last time I paid was for Mayweather Pacman and I enjoyed last night much more.
It is great to be a British boxing fan just now though isn't it?

It was a good show, but I still don't understand why it was PPV.
Where does the money go? Who are the big names on the card who require huge purses?

Last PPV most of the money went to Klitschko, far enough.
PPV before that was Mayweather/Pac, fair enough.
The one before that had 3 world champions on it, two of which had to be brought in from over seas, I can see why that needed to be PPV.

But none of that can be said about Saturday's card, I really don't understand.

Really good show (still debateable whether it was pay per view worthy though) only problem is 2 really good cards a year (where Hearn saves all his decent fights for) on pay per view but the rest of the cards being shit just isn't on for me.

Expect the same next year though, Hearn will continue to feed regular boxcing fans crap on Sky Sports in favour of the casuals who will watch one or two cards a year and pay £17. Frampton / Quigg obviously PPV in feb (although expect that fight alone sells that) but AJ out again in April at the o2 so expect any decent fights that could be made for Jan-April to be saved for that to bulster it for pay per view.

For the record Saturdays card coming on allegedly is better overall.

In an ideal world there wouldn't be any PPV's - we all agree with that. But it is what is.

Surely there's most interesting things to discuss than the 30 quid that Eddie Hearn's PPV's have cost people in the last 12 months?

I agree - PPV is a pain in the ass.
But I would rather talk about the boxing.

Add upwards of £240 over the year for Sky Sports to that £30 (but getting about £2.50s worth) then I'd say its pretty interesting

You don't need to tell me about Sky prices, I pay the bastards £1500 a year.

It's just beyond tedious to have it constantly brought up again and again and again.
