Fury V Joshua - who wins and how

Let's stick this out there, we've got lots of opinions flying around, but let's see who plants their flag and sticks by it, there are always a lot who claim they called it before the fight, but let's see who really believes.
When this finally happens, in maybe 18 months to 2 years, if it ever happens, what transpires?
JUST TO MAKE IT CLEAR I AM NOT SAYING IF THEY FOUGHT TOMORROW - BUT WHEN THEY DO FIGHT IN PROBABLY 18-24 MONTHS TIME

To early for AJ right now, he needs a few more fights and a lot more rounds before going up to world level.
Maybe in a year's time he will be ready, but if they were to fight eachother next Fury would outbox him convincingly.

I think Fury will out box him and stop him late, be it now or anytime in the future to be honest. I'd give AJ good punchers chance though.

I did say 'when it happens.' I didn't say if they fight tomorrow.

How can you be so sure that Fury would beat him anytime in the future?
AJ may well improve a great deal (he may not but who knows).
Look how much Tyson has improved himself in recent years, who would have tipped him to be where he is now back when he was struggling with the likes of Rogan and Pajtic?

I'd say Fury even stops a tired Joshua late but yeah Joshua needs more experience and to learn the nuances of the game.
Gotta give Joshua a punchers chance though I guess but Fury is very hard to hit these days; he knows how to use his height, reach and footwork well.

Truth is, he hasn't even improved that drastically, and yet with a good gameplan was enough to beat wlad. It's not like Fury is now looking like some invincible killer of men. Joshua on the other hand looks like a destroyer with a few flaws need ironing out. I'd say he looks better than Fury did at this stage.

Fury easily on points.
However, if Joshua comes out throwing leather and getting over-excited he'll be knackered of chasing after three or four rounds and Fury will stop him.
I vote for the points win option.

I know you did, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Hearn puts Joshua in with Fury before he is ready, trying to put together a huge PPV event before the opportunity has gone.

No doubt AJ will improve but so will Fury and he'll be getting experience against much better opposition now he's the champ, it's not like Fury is going to get old they are the same age. I think AJ is a wrecking ball but at the top level it takes more than that, I think people are getting a bit carried away with the Sky hype and Eddie. I heard some guy say the other day "it's a shame Lewis and Mike Tyson arnt about any more, I think AJ would beat them.

I voted for Fury on points, this is based on if they fought today. In 2 years is impossible to say, Fury is closer to the finished article whereas Joshua is still learning. Look at Fury's improvement from the McDermott fights to now.

Joshua will be derailed before he gets that far. He doesn't punch half as hard as he thinks he does. And don't believe Fury will bend over for Camp Eddie, he'll put Mick in charge or no deal.

Why would he do that? Why risk the career of your future star and potentially biggest money-maker, by putting him in with Tyson too early.
This fight won't happen for 18 months at least, and probably more.
Whether Tyson is still champ then or not, remains to be seen. I still think he's beatable. Depends what fights he takes as champ.
Obviously he has to get past Wlad in a rematch. I expect him to, but stranger things have happened - like him beating Wlad in the first place.

But against who mate? The novice Whyte who had never been past 4 rounds and had fought no-one of note? The shell of Kevin Johnson who had lost five of his last six fights coming into the bout with Joshua and retired immediately after? Michael Sprott?
Even if Joshua destroyed someone like Eric Molina or Johann Dupuas I’d be less sceptical. But for now he’s a big punching novice (only started boxing at 20) with questions around his stamina and footwork. He’s even said himself he’s not ready for Fury yet. In 18 months? Different story, But right now his attacks are a little basic and predictable - Fury would see them coming a mile off IMO.

in 18months time I think AJ will be close to ready to fight fury.
I think Aj will learn from that fight just like fury did from some of his developmental fights. it seems Aj will only have 4/5 more fights before challenging when in reality he could do with some more testers and a couple of in the bag wins.
A lot will depend on if fury can keep the belts for long enough, the only person I could see dethroining Tyson is the man he just beat because I don't think we will see wlad so shot shy. I can't see wilder agreeing to fight Tyson over here nor can I see him travelling to America without peter or his dad
in 2years AJ wins

i dont think fury will be champ in 2 years, he is too vulnerable to defend his crown many times.

Unlucky for joshua that Fury is around, else he might just have been great. So Fury for me showing joshua its not all about big muscles, with an easy one sided victory at a canter, probably stopping an exhausted Joshua late after bamboozling him all night with impressive combo's and a dancers footwork.

Joseph Parker is a better bet than Josh.

In two years Fury will be a former champion and AJ will no longer be unbeaten. They may fight in a clash that the winner needs to get back on track

Is he? There are only two fighters I can think of currently that may cause Fury problems, Povetkin and (peak) Haye because of their styles.
There's no one else out there I can think of that would worry the "New" Tyson Fury.

Yes, this is of course true - it's all about levels, but Joshua's power certainly even at this stage, looks in a different league to Fury's.
Time will tell of course. I'm having to extrapolate based on what I've seen of him so far, but AJ looks to have much more solid foundations to improve on, than Tyson did at a similar stage of his development.

I don't agree with that. AJ can "tighten up" and he can be more controlled. Other than that I don't see where the scope his unless you try to turn him into something he's not which would then negate his natural strengths.
Fury had loads to improve on. He used to try and fight without really being a puncher - something polar opposite to his strengths. He came in a different weights and often looked like his legs were too thin for his body leaving him looking like Bambi on ice.
Joshua is pretty set. he can always polish his skills, refine them but he's not really going to become anything significantly different to what he is now.

I'd say that's because Joshua has less to work on. He has better balance and footwork than Fury did early on, and has better technique on his shots even now. Joshua had more amateur pedigree behind him, so was further along the road than Fury.
Fury's conditioning was poor early on, and as you say, his legs were way too skinny for such a big man, leaving him vulnerable and off balance.
I think Joshua only needs a few minor improvements, tighter defence, more combination punching, better control of distance, and a little more patience in his work, and he will be a much better fighter than he is now.
It's an enjoyable debate, and I hope things work out where we get to see this fight.
It's quite possible Fury loses the title and/or Joshua gets beaten before they do meet.
