Gervonta Davis disposed of David Sanchez in brutal fashion
Davis looked a little average early being patient and flat footed... but he dropped Sanchez in round 8 and then got the big KO with a spectacular shot... He showed lightning speed again too.

My thoughts as well. He's clearly strong and quick, and he isn't a bad fighter by any means, but I don't see the "next Mayweather" type of skills they were suggesting. He reminds me a little of Amir Imam in that he mostly relies on his feet for a defense that is otherwise very spotty (although I will say his blocking and head movement are both superior to Imam), and we all know what just happened to him. He also looked flustered and concerned to me when Sanchez wasn't going anywhere. Once he's in with someone who can stay with him as he moves and who has some power when he hits, he may be in for some trouble.
