Clottey/Rosado

Has Clottey now cancelled himself out of the Super-Welter equation ? As for Rosado I cant see to many keen to jump in with him as hes always a tough fight and for little upside now.
Before the Rosado defeat Clottey looked like he may get ONE last crack at a title or Big name on a 4 fight winning streak albeit against 3 journeymen types but a nice win over Mundine thrown into the mix. At 38 looks like he'll now fall back into the gate kepper role

I am disappointed that Clottey was not able to maintain his form from the early rounds of the fight when he displayed the skill disparity between himself and Rosado. The reason I am dismayed is that now we may see Rosado get a shot at Canelo (as a prelim to the fan-coveted GGG fight) where he will be totally outclassed and will take a nasty beating, whereas I doubt Clottey would have even landed the fight had he won. And if he did, at least he could be semi-competitive with Canelo for a few rounds of the fight and not just get beaten to a pulp.
Now I just hope we don't see Canelo taking on Rosado in a few months because Rosado got a decent win and called him out.

So, you prefer Canelo fight Bradley or Khan rather than Rosado? At least he wouldn't have size or power advantage over Rosado.
I doubt that Canelo would consider a top level MW who is not feather-fisted for the interim fight.

Yeh, I would rather see either of those two actually. At least they could try to use speed/movement as a counter to Canelo's strength and power. I don't see Rosado being able to do anything that bothers Canelo.
It would be nice to see him take on a MW. Out of those guys, Lemieux Eubank jr or Saunders could be good choices.

He could lose to any of them, so I doubt they will be considered. Maybe Saunders, as he has a belt. Why is Cotto rematch not being discussed? Canelo and Cotto could pass the WBC belt to each other keeping Golovkin out :)

I guess you are right, but as fans, we should not just give that a pass. While maybe Canelo's team will decide on a seemingly easy opponent, I'm not going to encourage that as a fan. I would like to see him take on somebody decent rather than an uninteresting mismatch just as a filler before a GGG fight. Besides, if he is serious about taking on GGG, he should get take a good opponent first because a sub-par one isn't going to help him prepare for such a tough fight.
