The only one who can claim the undisputed 1st place is Tyson Fury....

I would say the worst is Blow Job Saunders; who despite his decent skills hasn't done ever looked world class.....

What do others think?

As much as it pains me to say it,i'd have to say Crolla or Haskins

I'd say Haskins or Smith.

I'd probably edge with Haskins but his awkwardness can bamboozle one dimentional opponents,i'd fancy McDonnell in a rematch,i havent seen Sor Singyu so dont know about his style

I think Haskins looks better than Billy Joe, who's done virtually nothing at world level.

At least Haskins and Crolla won convincingly!

Saunders is but Crolla will be the next to lose to his title soon next against Barroso.

I reckon if Saunders can learn to maintain a pace he could become a very highly regarded boxer,he seems to have everything else,speed,timing,footwork,defence,reflexes and a chin ,its just that engine/workrate,he didnt look gassed against Lee but his pace near stopped

He's had a great education,went the traditional route and beat some very good fighters,EubankJr,O'Sullivan,Ryder,Blackwell,Blandamura and just beat someone who just drew with Quillin

TBH i havent had BJS do much wrong in his career so far,i thought Eubank Jr ,Ryder and Blackwell wins were all comfortable

Liam Smith is the least credible.

There it is by a mile. Pretty sure those saying Haskins, if they check who Haskins has beat against who smith has beat, would at least think of taking it back. Haskins has been beating kids better than that Kelly kid for about the last 6 years or something

You MIGHT have seen Sor Singyu being stopped by Tomoki Kameda with gut breaking body shot on Tomoki's US TV break out win...McDonnell would handle him, but it'd be a toughie as the guy doesn't stop coming forward...Haskins should be favoured against him too, but not by much (certainly a fight where home advantage could be a key if it were ever made).

Also Iwasa was ring magazine top 10 and top 10 on this site too. Never seen him fight before but Liam Smiths opponents would get nowhere near that.

Yeah he didn't look too bad until Kameda landed that shot. Haskins is going to be a travelling champion though. I wouldn't be surprised if Yamanaka made him an offer.

I remember that it was on a big show right?? If i remember correct that fight didnt get shown over here coz it was about 4th down the bill??

Why go faster than you need too and use energy you may need to quickly recuperate from a shot.

Probably the third best fighter in his family and not even close to world class.

There's question marks over a few of the names on this thread but every one's more credible at world level than Smith, both in terms of ability and achievement

Is it a case of reserving energy or is it a case of not having that energy any more? Bout against Lee and Eubank could both suggest that that energy simply isn't there in the later stages

Quigg and Mcdonnell may both hold lightly regarded belts but they both have good recent wins on their record, so I can't say either of them.

Haskins became champion in quite anti-climatic circumstances but also had a good recent victory under his belt, which is what put him in that position in the first place.

Got to be Smith for me, won his belt in a gimme and defended against a fighter clearly levels below him. But he could yet grow into the role of champion with a couple defences against Decent opposition. Who knows?

I'm prepared to judge them on their title reign. A lot of them need to start fighting world class fighters to be taken seriously and few of them ever do.
No disrespect to Jimmy Kelly but that was a truly awful opponent for a world title fight and I fear BJS will be fed a whole host of soft defences too.

Bit harsh; Perez went 12 and was competitive against Gamboa - that makes him pretty near world class in my book.

Smith gets my vote purely because he's fought "nobody anywhere near world class".
