The Cuban heavyweight improved his stock as a legitimate heavyweight contender by brutally knocking out the capable Bryant Jennings in seven rounds on national television Saturday night in Verona, New York.
As a result, Ortiz enters THE RING heavyweight ratings at No. 5.
Ortiz has the amateur background (reportedly more than 300 fights), size (6 feet 4 inches, around 240 pounds) and punching power to give anyone trouble.
Time will tell.

I like seeing that Ortiz. His bless him and his family. Seem like a humble Cuban kid and he can fight

I was very impressed with his skills in his last fight, and will be looking forward to seeing him fight, especially if he fights impressively without the help of PEDS. If he does, he is a big problem for any heavy out there. If he gets caught again, at his age, he will be done.

It's a fair ranking. BoxRec has him below Glazkov too but that's just because Glazkov has gotten so many gift decisions which BoxRec has to take on face value.
I do feel like Chagaev is somewhat out of place on that list. He hasn't had a win worth talking about in like 7 years. I'm also not sure Anthony Joshua's level of competition has been high enough to warrant his inclusion.

I think I put him at 5 as well after beating Jennings.

Joshua isn't top 20 at this stage.-

Ortiz may be the best heavy of all right now, but only has about a 2 year window to prove it. Hopefully he will get a title shot from the winner of the Glazkov fight.

I think he belongs, but let's be real, boxing managers aren't stupid. Oritz is high risk, lower reward. He's not getting a shot from Wilder, Fury, or Glazkov unless it's a mandatory, not will Joshua dare risk a fight with him.

You are probably right.
