Teper suspended 2 years

"Erkan Teper will now pay a heavy price for the path he chose that led to facing David Price. The unbeaten heavyweight from Germany has been hit with suspensions by both the German Boxing Federation (BDB) and European Boxing Union (EBU) due to a failed drug test surrounding his knockout win over Price in July. The result of the fight has now been changed to a No Contest, with Teper now dealt a one-year suspension by the BDB and a two-year ban handed down by the EBU, which - given past circumstances - could potentially opt to never again rank the disgraced boxer. - See more at:

As quoted on boxing scene
The USA will not sanction him if he is suspended in other countries.
Does anyone think he will attempt to fight in Asia or South America?
Does this end his career?

Failed 5 months ago too...I am just curious as to what people think will happen with his career now.

So does the EBU actually have the authority to enforce suspensions?
I thought they were a sanctioning body like the WBC, WBA and so forth. Those organizations can keep you from fighting for their belts and rankings but they cannot keep you out of the ring.
Is this really a one year suspension from boxing by the BDB and a two year symbolic gesture by the EBU?

They should change them to DQ losses, imo.

I am not really sure.I have too many questions about these type of situations.

I don't really care to be honest.

My question is how the fornicate was Price and his team so in the dark about this clearly cheating fornicate that they even took that fight? Teper sounds like a real pos.

Fightnews says clen, test, HGH, and Dbol.
That's a pretty weird stack for a fighter and makes Teper's physique even more disgraceful. He either has the worst genetics of all time or hasn't tasted a gram of protein in years.

I spent a summer in Turkey in 94. Put on about 10 kg.

That's an idea - maybe he should go for a combo of;
Alberto Contador defense - "I went back to Turkey and ate contaminated meat"
Barry Bonds - "I thought it was flaxseed oil my trainer was rubbing on me"
Petr Korda - "I ate too much veal" (he would have had to have eaten 40 calves a day for 20 years)
Dieter Bauman - "They spiked my toothpaste"
Richard Gasquet - "I kissed a girl in a nightclub" (he got off)
Daniel Plaza - “I performed too much oral sex on my pregnant wife” (he got off because pregnant woman produce excess hormones)
LaShawn Merrit - “I was just trying to make my dong bigger.”
Dennis Mitchell - “The lady deserved a treat.” (The positive test was just because it was his wife’s birthday the night before the drug test)
Tyler Hamilton - “An unborn twin lives inside me” (to explain the presence of someone else’s red blood cells in Hamilton’s blood)

Ban not big enough.
He's got plenty of time to come back and re-group.

I think this Turkish guy should be banned for life, he's a massive embarrassment for everyone involved in the European boxing world.
He's a danger for the sport, for his opponends, his own life, appearantly he was planning to murder his opponend, or at least that was a serious possibility he took.
Two years is way too short, it's allmost like it's America over here, he should be banned for life.

2 years is nothing. And in those 2 years Teper can dope all he likes since there's no random out of competition testing in professional boxing.
2 years for a well ranked, seasoned HW is 3 or 4 fights, possibly less if the ban is backdated to when he tested positive.
All pro sports need an independent body for drug testing, and a uniform set of criteria for the handing out and enforcement of bans. As seen in Track and field and cycling it's all too easy to turn a blind eye rather than confront something as financially and credibility damaging as doping.
