A good prospect, but needs to be stepped up soon. He's proven he can handle the journeyman type boxer with ease, so now needs to start moving up. Get him in some area title fights or equivalent level.

A Very hot prospect. Liked the look of him from his debut. As said above, needs to be moved along now and matched in more meaningful fights which I'm pretty sure Neil Marsh is planning to do.

If he's only half as entertaining as his old man then he's worth watching.

His dad was a top amateur in the 70s a brutal puncher with a come forward style, won the abas then went to Olympics in Montreal I think. Got found out to some degree when he went pro. Didn't win anything but could still whack. This is not confirmed but an old boy who trained me in the 80s said Davies could have been British champ if he'd not loved a gargle so much (minter sibson n finneghan might have had other ideas!). Saw Robbie Jnr a few times as an amateur and he can dig also but his skills are a bit more refined. Both good fighters

Not sure Dave is either now.

Coldwell confirmed that Robbie left him rather than letting him go.

he was a good amateur, got to the aba final losing split decision to Louis adolphe, looks big at the weight and looking good as a pro so far.

Davies is with dave tonks and has been for while now,dave tonks is a decent trainer,under rated imo never gets recognition even tho he has only ever lost two fights as a trainer.

I was at his last bout in Blackpool a couple of weeks ago against Ryan Hardy. Hardy came in with a decent enough record for this stage of Robbie's career (8-8) having never been stopped. I expected Robbie to look to be the first to stop Hardy, but didn't think he would do it so quickly (two rounds). I was very impressed and look forward to seeing him in the future.

im working on a new build site and ryans bought one of the houses so I see him running etc and have a chat about next fights etc. His face really looked like hed had a serious kicking not a two rnd stoppage defeat. Hardy is a seasoned and tough kid at area level and davies brushed him aside with ease.

Only 3 fights in 2015 though, and less than 4 rounds of action for him. Is there a problem with finding him fights? or is he with the wrong people when it comes to getting career guidance?

Another tough competitor in the light welter division along with Ryan, Nurse, Taylor, Catterall, Jenkins and Martin....how does he compare with these guys?

why isn't he with Eddie any more?

better than them all...
Johnny Coyle is a quality fighter too, and Antonio Counihan, Jeff Saunders. UK light welterweight division is looking much better, it was poor for years.
