Parker would be wasting his time as a fringe contender if he didn't think he could beat the guys above him.

I think he takes out Fury pretty easily... his lunging straight is very powerful, fast and efficient... Fury has been dropped by lesser fighter with that type of shot... Parker has the tool to make sure he stays down contrary to the others who dropped Fury with the right.

The way Wlad fought vs Fury... something was clearly wrong mentally and physically... probably bad prep mixed with age. At this point, Parker would actually stand a good chance.

Parker could use polishing and needs to be more challenged like early in his career... Because lately it's like his management decided to get more money back after paying for "name" opponents... The opposition got softer and Parker got sloppier.

I'm wondering when is a fighter supposed to say "I cannot beat any HW in the world, all HWs will punish me?"

Exactly. He's training 3 times a day, 6 days a week, knocking out whoever they put in front of him but says "I don't ever think I can be heavyweight champion. I just don't have what it takes".
C'mon - this is just basic sports psychology. Don't diss the young man for following a dream.
I hope he's involved in some great fights

I'd rather see Parker take on HUGHIE Fury, rather than Tyson Fury. That's just me personally though.

I'm not totally sold on Parker. I think he has good hand speed, good combination punching, alongside obvious punching power and a pretty decent boxing brain. However I think his footwork is pretty poor and in particular his feet are pretty slow. I could be wrong though and I guess time will tell whether my assessment of him is correct or not.

...may I assume if Klitschko und Fury fail to respond, Parker will fall into category of the most avoided heavyweights? ;;-)
