Peterson was effective in rounds 2,6,and 8 but gave away a lot of rounds to Diaz by not throwing enough punches,and getting nailed on the inside.When Peterson was in close,he should have been throwing punches but failed to do so.That allowed Diaz to win more rounds.It was was such a difficult fight for Peterson,i honestly believe Peterson lost that fight are the fight could have been a draw.

I thought Diaz won that fight, I wasn't surprised because I've seen Diaz fight before and knew he had the tools/skills to pull it off. Personally I think Diaz will do nothing but get better and once he is defensively sound then he is going to be trouble for anyone he faces.

Diaz would get better and the fact stands he did beat lamont peterson,diaz out work him the whole entire fight.I personally can't see lamont peterson beating any top welterweights at 147 at all.

Diaz was busier but he wasn't as effective. Peterson landed the telling punches. Crisper shots. If you think Diaz won that fight but probably think Sosa got a deserved draw against Walters too. Just being busier doesn't win fights. Or shouldn't.

Impressive that Hinata Maruta was said to have held his own with Diaz in sparring last year...despite the fact Diaz has about 20lbs on the kid

I'm guessing the majority saw a close fight that Lamont edged?
