"I can't believe they [Ring Magazine] got Andre Ward ranked number 4 in the pound-for-pound list. Even though the guy that's ranked number 1 pound-for-pound right now [Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez], you know, you can't argue about that, but without Andre Ward losing a fight, he has to be number 2. I mean, he wins his fights not in good fashion, but in great fashion, and they have him at number 4? They got some guy ranked number 9, I don't really know his full name, so I don't want to be disrespectful, but they got a Japanese guy ranked number 9. They got Andre Ward number 4, and this guy that's ranked number 9, we don't even know who he is.I truly believe that racism still exists in the sport of boxing."

Floyd's right, Ward is only ranked #4 p4p because he is black.

If Ward was white, he would be the undisputed GOAT... even considering his best win was Kessler via headbutts.

So Yamanaka shouldn't be ranked in the top ten because Floyd hasn't heard of him.
That makes loads of sense......

What's his problem with Japanese fighters anyway?

Floyd doesn't like 'yellow' people:

"As soon as we come off vacation, we're going to cook that little yellow chump. We ain't worried about that. So they ain't gotta worry about me fighting the midget. Once I kick the midget ass, I don't want you all to jump on my d---. So you all better get on the bandwagon now. ... Once I stomp the midget, I'll make that mother f----- make me a sushi roll and cook me some rice." - Floyd Mayweather Jr.

I'm sure if Andre had been more active, and still undefeated, he'd be #1. But, he hasn't. His career has been so anticlimactic in every sense... he's lucky to be on a top 10 list.

Indeed. He's had 3 fights in 4 years against poor or drained opposition.

Andre Ward is a has-been.

Do you all see what's happening here? Floyd will never be able to sit idle on the sidelines. He's been retired for 6 months or so and he can't stand the fact that no one cares about him and boxing has moved on successfully and is stronger than it's ever been. I love every second of it too. And my dreams will be answered when Floyd finally can't sit on his hands any longer and does what most boxers before him has done, he'll agree to do ONE MORE fight and his clock will get cleaned out. Nothing would top that for me so I'd probably just because a casual boxing fan at that point.

Right Floyd.... Even though you are a wife beater, have made repeated fun of oriental people and are one of the most boring fighters ever.... You got paid more than any other boxer or sportsman.... But the world is against you and other black boxers because of racism. what a bell end. Next time you're counting your money, stop and think how much of it came from white, Asian and Hispanic folk. Though I'm sure most want their money back as watching you box is not a lot more interesting than watching you take a dump...

Floyd is a huge jerk as an individual but a broken clock is right twice a day, there still is racism everywhere, so there is in boxing too.

All colors of people are capable of being racist.

I agree 100% with this statement.
I do not understand racism at all.But some people just can't focus on what we all have in common.
They instead want to focus on what is different.I will never understand it but to each their own.
Be miserable and have their hearts filled with hatred.= dumbass

You might change your mind if you came out of your lily white suburban neighbourhood and moved to the Bronx, or Peckham, or Tower Hamlets or Detroit :OhYes:

Yeah, man, I'm so non-racist that the concept totally boggles my mind as well.

Mayweather's comments are pathetic. He's a mug. Ward shouldn't even be in the top 10.

Anything can be racist if you are determined to find it, because in your mind you create it. If you don't have a chip on your shoulder you tend to see reality instead.

I have no time for such nonsense, some people need to grow up and stop trying to find something out of nothing. They might just be a bit happier in their lives if they did that.

Yeah, not sure what your point here is regaer. Of course I've been in and driven thru various kinds of places. I have never pretended to have lived the life of a Leon Spinks or Mike Tyson. All I said was that there are racists of all colors, even though most people are not racists.

Right.....so you've driven through a couple of difficult places, with the windows up and sh1tting yourself... And now you're an expert on the ghetto! Jaysus this is too funny

You would get torn apart in any majority black area and quickly change your 'liberal' tune.... You are a pussyhole

I'm not sure that you've understood Tony1244's posts.

You are normally a pretty good poster, but you are making a bit of an arse of yourself today.

Tony it is comments like this that make me like you.
You are stating such an obvious fact that people will never accept it.
MOST PEOPLE ARE NOT RACIST AND RACISTS COME IN ALL COLORS.

Very simple and to the point.I don't find near as many racist as the media leads us to believe. :TU:

Nah his best win was when embarrassed Froch but everyone on the forum tries to forget that one.

Those nasty white and Latino people don't appreciate the great black Son of God who hasn't fought anybody of note in 4+ years. Of course, it is racism.

According to Floyd, black people just can't be at fault.
