Yes, I was looking forward to seeing him a while ago but it was one of the hundreds of bouts that have fallen through this year.

Looks like finding opposition is a bit difficult for him. By the way, what was the Savoy like? (cost etc)

Ian, I didnt attend actually, it was a dinner show and tickets were £100, which is about the norm I think.... unfortunately I am broke at the so didnt go.

Erik has the video though and i will check it tonight.

PJ Maxwell was meant to fight but I think that fell through...

yeah quite!!! But Branco suffered a lot more than he did i think...

Branco was meant to fight a short orthodox fighter and he got a skyscraper south paw... Drews was meant to fight an orthodox fighter and fought one.....
But like you say it still takes a good man to beat Branco regardless of the sitiuation

It was the fight vs Konstantin Shvets that eurosport showed last light. Drews won all rounds clearly (One judge had it 120-102)

I was at this show last night.

Teymour was very very impressive.

Strong, quick hands good puncher, very quick feet, gets in range quick. Looks a real hard nut.

IMO could pose problems for Reid or Magee right now.

Also spoke at length with David Haye and Roman Greenberg at the show. They seem to get on well together.

Haye boxes again in September and starts sparring with the world class Brazilian Cruiser Azille next month.

Greenberg boxes again in October in Las Vegas.

IMO both have promising futures.

BTW, Extremebox, David Haye IS TEETOTAL

Haye's future does look increasingly bright, just needs to watch that he doesn't rush himself too much. It's possible that his performance against Williams flattered to deceive and that he still needs to step it up slowly. He certainly has the punchpower to hurt anyone in the division, and I think he is one of those who will benefit from the raising of the limit to 200.

I do wonder how on earth Carl Thompson ever made Cruiser when it was 190, he looks like he weighs about 210+.

Thompson used to do light heavy many moons ago.....

I spoke to him about the weight. He is much more comfortable at 200 which he makes easily. He eats what he wants at the moment and is only doing some light training and weighs 211.

Greenberg said he is doing some light training too and weighs around 230.

He will be fighting at a Las Vegas casino in October. I'm thinking of making the trip. Lots of boys from London are going over.

I think Haye did 190 without any problem... unlike a lot of the guys in the division

Thompson has one of the strongest physiques out there, even in his 40's he looks incredible... he is obviously a fitness nut with tremendous genetics

Was for the charity Young Jewish care. The crowd was made up mainly of businessmen from the Jewish community and their associates.

Teymour could turn out to be something special.

Most pissed man of the night goes to Teymour's manager, Roy Hilder or the Peacock. Man, he was pissed, but in a nice way.

I know Teymour is good and has a lot of promise, but Hilder told me, with a straight face, that Teymour was the best fighter in the world, pound for pound.

Man, I used to see this half grenadian half puerto rican girl who worked at Spearmint Rhino, christ almighty, it makes my knob weep just thinking about her, unfortunately she was also fucked up, as well as being amazingly beautiful.
