Seen Polanco a few times and he is often in close fights. His lack of pop is one of the problem. He also gets sloppy at times so his shots are too casual in stiffness and he can be hit by a straight punch arsenal rather easily. He got 2 good wins in a row against opponent totaling 12-1-2 for record... both close fights that could've went both ways.

Amarilla's record is VERY deceiving... If only he had pop, his record would be totally different and legit too... He has fought excellent opposition for someone with his experience. He accumulated his 3 losses as a starter (something frequent for Argentina fighter because the local scene for starters is tough).

After his 3 losses he was able to turn around his career... It looked like his promoter had thrown the towel and started to feed him as an opponent to decent local prospects and he performed very well with the tools he has, often winning and not getting the W...

Amarilla is a simple fighter... he pumps a frequent jab to keep his opponent in D mode and picks the holes with his right. He has a decent right uppercut and a wild looping right thrown like he is pitching a fast ball...

it's an awkward shot that can have surprising results. Polanco being pretty easy to hit with rights, should be interesting to see what Amarilla can achieve with that shot.

To have success vs Amarilla, you need to have more reach than his jab and control the distance with the straight punch arsenal and timing. That's not Polanco's strong style... he is more the flurry going forward type of fighter and like to brawl.

This is a very intriguing matchup for me as i think it could be yet another good win for Amarilla who is 3-0-2 in his last 5 vs good opposition (44-10-2). It could also be a very good win for Polanco, a very good 3rd legit win in a row on paper.
